  1. This is very sad and depressing. Doubt they can ever fix this and it really cast doubt on Hinch for sticking with "Not" Coolbaugh.
  2. Angels announcers complimentary of Mannings "fastball with life "
  3. Kinda surprised they cut Peralta but no future here and I guess they’re confident covering the remaining innings this year.
  4. Ok good. Thanks. Hope for a rebound.
  5. Is there any change the Tigers just cut bait with Meadows this off season ? What salary will he have after this year of not playing . Will it still increase ? How do Achilles- both legs- become so sore you can't play during a period if inactivity. I mean injured on the disabled list ? Has that ever happened before ? I am not saying its not real but it is really an outlier. Between him and Rodriguez its been strange for sure.
  6. My Dad was Canadian and "immigrated" to the US for work in Michigan way way back when and when we traveled home from visiting family in Quebec he was a bloody mess at the border. My Mom used to tease him to be good or she would spill the beans 🙂
  7. Way to live. Master of your Universe. Enjoy.
  8. Great Dad. Not so great catcher.
  9. So back to the drawing board.....what a mess
  10. Whoever coined the phrase “ we can’t have nice things” sure hit it on the head.
  11. Manning, Breiske, Jobe and Flores. That’s the best value I think we have. Maybe make lateral trades to position players but as G2 said other GMs might think we have systemic issues
  12. And we can’t complain about Al
  13. This is true but who better to be wrong about if they had signed them ? It was a no lose proposition.
  14. Are the Tigers jinxed? Or is it the energy of a pennant race that makes the player performance better?
  15. If to rich how about Dansby Swanson from Atlanta.
  16. Ha ha well happy to help.
  17. That’s a good thing no ?
  18. Nice to see Carpenter do well but both hits were against just promoted pitchers and not MLB regulars. I think the home run on the high fastball is a swing and miss against most pitchers in the majors like we have seen previously. But it is progress so thats good.
  19. Per "MLB Trade Rumors " . Same Doctor Skubal is seeing today and likely the same result...:( The Dodgers announced Monday that right-hander Walker Buehler will undergo season-ending surgery on his right elbow on Aug. 23. He’s been out since June 10 after being diagnosed with a Grade 2 flexor strain. Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic tweets that Buehler’s recent MRIs weren’t conclusive enough to determine the extent of the damage in his elbow, but Dr. Neal ElAttrache saw enough to recommend surgery.
  20. The thought occurred to me, probably later than everyone else on the board, that super hyped prospects are at their highest value before being promoted to the big leagues where they might struggle. Tork is a case in point. If we wanted to we probably could have had Soto for Tork and Greene before calling them up as an example. Now Tork's value is greatly marginalized. I wonder if all GM's consider this before calling them up and it seems DD made a career of trading the hype. I think the Yankees used to do that also. So maybe the new GM should trade Dingler, Flores and Jobe for a some young proven hitters as the first step of the rebound. Kind of the opposite of trading proven vets for more lotto picks. it's less years of control but quicker path to respectability and combined with a Tork/ Greene ascension and pitchers healing we might have something.
  21. All soon to be swirling down the sink when a new GM arrives.
  22. hate to see Miggy reduced to a carnival attraction.
  23. Miggy looks broken and I still believe he will retire with full pay. He is a baseball player that can no longer perform and I don't think he wants to be a carnival attraction for the fans. This reality will set in and the new GM will, hopefully and delicately, provide a narrative that allows him to retire with dignity.
