    So who do we all want as our next GM ? I have no clue except hard no on Menzies or anybody in the organization and lean towards someone from a solid team like Dodgers Cardinals Astros Tampa etc. But who ?

    I think Kreifl Probably the general consensus opinion but for me it’s bye bye Candy. I’d rather let Kriedler stopgap third base with solid defense and hope he can hit at the MLB level. If so you have third covered for awhile. Then spend the 7 mil towards something else.

    The question in my mind is if you bring him back and he plays well do you trust he will continue to do well if you sign him to a multi year free agent contract ? I wouldn’t so for me it’s non tender and move on.

    The better Kriedler plays the higher chance Candy isn’t retained for next year.

    Nothing to lose bringing Tork up. Low bar established to improve upon and if he does his off season can build confidence. If he continues to struggle there’s little difference from where he is now and no amount of AAA success will change that.

    Really liked your reply and I’m certainly not going to try to debate you on the trade knowing what you know and what I do not but the dollar value exchange is often overlooked in this transaction which I think was a driving motivation for Tampa. It’s a third piece if you will that Tampa gained to use towards other assets. It’s essentially a 3 for 1 trade. As for Parades lower obp at the mlb level it’s clear he has sacrificed that for power. Quite a bit of power and I won’t be surprised if the obp increases in time. He is still only 23.

    Yup. Who trades a young player who has clearly demonstrated a solid understanding of the strike zone and does well in the league he is playing in despite being significantly younger than the competition. And adds in a high draft pick on the heels of many years of losing seasons. An idiot that’s who. The Rays fleeced him and are in mourning since his firing. this really bugs me.

    He seems better for left field at Comerica. It’s large so his range plays and his arm is more suitable for left.

    Put me in the OK for Baez deal and no on overpaying CC. And I still think he will be better next year and I still find him enjoyable to watch apart from too many give away AB's. If the team id better I believe there will be less of those. 2023 the Return of EL MAGO !!!

    It does seem that Baez is miscast as the star of the team instead of a supporting actor.

    In summary it seems we are suffering a sever POWER outage so I suppose adding some is the number one priority for the new GM. That and some health serum.
