  1. I cannot wrap my head around the idea that people think it is fine to just speed up to the front of a closed lane and cut people off to get in. This is normalized now? When did this happen?
  2. Yeah that is the problem right....trying to blast down to get ahead of everyone else because they are in "more of a hurry" or think they should be in front or something? I have no idea. You see the signs miles ahead 90% of the time, if everyone just merged casually after they saw the sign there would be very little slow down at all. Do not get me started on those who drive like a mile when the entire lane is barely moving.
  3. Our differences of opinion on this probably explains why we have butted heads in this forum...moreso even then our political differences I think. Speeding to get to the front of a lane closure is the definition of selfishness and disregard for those around you. I hate it, but you do you.
  4. Was listening to Clapton....Live at LCA. Dude can still kill a guitar. I did not expect him to bounce around the stage..even in his hay day he was not that, but dude moved maybe 5 feet the entire concert. 🤣
  5. Yup that was before the huge TV deal IIRC. They make more on the TV deal then the tickets now, I do not think that was always the case, but could be wrong...I did not look it up.
  6. I think this fits here....sitting outside waiting on the bus with my kids (the bus stop is at the end of my driveway) and my daughter points to something on the ground on the lawn. A Winchester knife, half open, fully functional and in good shape. I did not notice it before. I usually have to pick up the random water bottle or monster energy drink can etc to throw out and did not see it, but it was right there. Picked it up by the blade just in case. No signs of blood or anything and no recent occurrences in my area of a stabbing or attempted murder etc.
  7. I almost kinda wish I did lose power more often so I could get a whole home generator for backup. Feels like a waste of money now because we have been in this house for 9 years or so and lost power for a few minutes a couple times and that was it. The first time it is a major inconvenience and we lose it for a few days I am going to wish I had a generator, but right now it feels like a waste of money.
  8. I am honestly surprised they did not already do a BHC 4. I am looking forward to it...I would think they should go a more serious route...not that the last ones were not serious, but they were a little more campy. I would like a deeper dive into Axels life and add in a cop caper in the mix. If done right I think could be really good. If they just rinse and repeat the same type of story I would be disappointed.
  9. My regular stocks are all over the place, up and down, but my kids MESP accounts.....they are invested in the most bland low growth and almost no risk funds somehow lost a grand over the last year....I do not check these regularly and every month they get deposited to and once a year on their birthday we dump a bit more from family making contributions instead of gifts. I have not researched it a ton yet, but have no idea where that 1k went. It is weird.
  10. I always thought the idea of living on an island and taking a boat into the main land where my car was parked would be a cool thing. I wonder how long it would remain cool before I got completely sick of it? I like to think I never would, because I love being on the water, but a part of me thinks I would get sick of it after awhile.
  11. We have legitimate reasons to be excited for decades....a few of those years were actually decent years...Hope and kool aid is all Lions fans have to grasp onto in the preseason. I would like to be proven wrong since my decent into apathy about 6-7 years ago, but I would not put any money on it.
  12. Speaking of peeves....the word "hack". When did a good tip become a "hack"? Back in the day a hack was someone who could not do a good job and had to "hack it".
  13. I almost never answer my personal phone. I have like 2-3 people I will answer my phone for and that is about it. Unless I am expecting a call because of an email. I prefer everything in writing so I do not have to rely on remembering what was talked about. Send me an email, if it is important it will be there forever for me to look back on.
  14. I agree this is about a 6 win team, but I do not think that will show improvement...unless they lose 2-3 games in the last second of the game again.
  15. You know what else works great? Simply getting over when you see the signs that a lane is closing instead of racing up to the front...just a thought.
  16. Baseball players popping up from a slide after getting called out IMMEDIATELY looking over and doing the ear phone thing to have the dugout look...especially when it was obvious they were out. Baez does it a ton and I hate it. Do you think the coach is not looking at it? It is like "no way I did something wrong here or got caught...you better check that!" It makes me cringe every time I see a player do it.
  17. Without looking it up I would guess one of Walts backyard parties, but that does not sound right.
  18. I dunno it did not compute for me. Marie knew the dude responsible, he was family.... her sisters husband was the king pin behind it all. I would imagine the diamonds are lost forever and the can was open so the card probably fell out, even if it did not...not sure how they put that together. I think he found like 3-4 of them before the lid opened up. Police probably just thought it was all trash. Maybe they did search the trash bin though..
  19. Gotta say I was expecting....something else. I did expect jail or death. To me it was all about Saul wanting to show he was smarter than everyone else mixed with 3 other things....still had love for Kim and wanted to redeem himself to HER, wanting to be punished for the things he did and EGO, just like Walt. "Walter White could not have done it without me!" The ego may be all it was...I thought he felt like he deserved to be punished. Shows he is smarter by getting life +190 years in prison reduced to 7 years, gaming the system to the very end, knowing exactly what he was doing the entire time...only to throw it back in their faces by copping to it all in front of the judge. I am not sure why Marie was brought in. That just felt off to me. She had closure when Walt gave Skylar the coordinates, she knew how it went down, it was 7 years before or so...Saul was a background character in her husbands murder, I really did not like them bringing her back. The flashback scene...with Chuck...I was confused the whole time because I thought Lenny died...turns out I was wrong, but the whole time I was like this must be a scene from earlier in the year. Chuck having the book about time travel and that theme running through this episode. Walt ACTUALLY regretting the life he ended up with and Jimmy just being Jimmy. The look on Chucks face when Jimmy said "you would do it for me", knowing Chuck would most certainly NOT have done it for him. Kim, she DID get redemption of sorts. Her US Bar not expiring.....still not sure if she can practice with the confession, even if they did not prosecute. The guys on the bus chanting "Better Call Saul" and stomping their feet...kinda cheesy. I like how they caught him quickly, but that chase scene felt off. I don't know, I just expected something....... different. Maybe after a re watch it will come together, but for now I am left a little unsatisfied. I expected more. I did not hate it, but I did not love it either. Still thoroughly enjoyed the show from start to finish though.
  20. A couple things after re-watching the last few episodes with the wife last night....Saul called Jessie Igor and then said Walt was Heisenberg...never heard that name before, wonder if that is just what people were calling Jessie on the streets...like the side kick/lab assistant to the monster. May just be a Saul thing....Walt was the cook and Jessie was the side kick. I wonder if Jimmys motivation to go back to scamming was finding out his stash is all gone or if it had something to do with Kim? I am leaning heavily on the cash issue...when they showed the divorce paper signing scene, even though Jimmy had to steel himself for it, he was super cold and short with it...I am sure he once cared for Kim, but I think once they are gone they are gone and he moves on pretty quick.
  21. At least for now the last episode in this universe. I read Gilligans next series will be akin to the twilight zone. Sounds interesting and I would watch it. Apparently not episodic though...more a full on story. I appreciate what Black Mirror is trying to do for a modern day twilight zone, but there is not enough variety and the seasons are so far apart, not sure if they are even doing another season. Do Kim and Jimmy get a reunion of some kind? Who dies who lives? Still wondering how they wrap it up.
  22. I do not use or check twitter at all, but back in the day I USED to use italics when I was being sarcastic. I thought it had a chance of catching on (I did not invent the idea or anything), but I rarely see people using italics for that reason any longer....now people just like to say whatever they want then if called on it, can go back and act like they were kidding or being ironic or something..it is great
