  1. I watch just about every game. I said I have not been LISTENING as much...ie all the talk etc. As far as I know his name is still Miguel Cabrera. Also everyone else blows..he blows...just not as much.
  2. I have not been listening, but watching the games...is he injured? If so sure. The team blows, all the players are playing well below what they should be playing at...all the kids who deserved a shot got one, Miggy is still Miggy.
  3. It is not like Chris has press conferences every week....he talks once every couple years and just tells it like it is then I am 100% fine with that.
  4. I am sure there were talks, but I also think the deal was just too good to turn down. Even if Stafford did not want to be traded he would have been gone with that offer anyway. I do not recall Stafford demanding anything, maybe he said he would be open to it or requested it, but those are different things IMO. Maybe just a semantical discussion.
  5. I am in favor of telling the truth and let things fall where they may. Not a fan of politic-ing or double speak. I favor this in ALL areas of life, even business.
  6. Hard to tell IMO. It may be a little of both. For some reason I think it highly unlikely Al would trade JV without talking to the boss first, but maybe Chris gave him carte blanche....which is what a good owner does IMO, but looks like they had the wrong guy making all the wrong moves. Did Al really just trade JV without consulting the owner? I mean, JHC. Miggy and JV...those were 2 guys who were going to hit HUGE milestones in the next few years...who were the best at their positions. I was never in favor of trading either guy. I get giving the gm full control, but you would think Chris would also say something like "if you are thinking about trading either of these guys let me know first." They sold tickets at the LEAST. Something just does not smell right.
  7. Also Miggy will play out his last year here 100%. I have no doubt about that.
  8. I feel like we got a decent core of pitchers, just start dumping the badoos & Clemons etc. Build the hitting back up...we are historically dreadful...heard a stat about RPG today...worst since the early 1900's....
  9. "What do you think?" "maybe" A good episode for sure. Not much to say. Glad they gave Kim most of this one, the parallel of Kim crying then immediately going to to Gene breaking the glass to get in the guys house was a cool touch. The tie in for Marions son being from Albuquerque finally pays off. Her son is a trouble maker, Gene lets it slip the laws are totally different in Albuquerque, which makes her suspicious to check into him. How much running/hiding can one person do before they are just done with it? It has to be exhausting. Jimmy grabs his stuff and takes off, but to where? Should be no happy ending for him....doubt it is death...the only other logical choice is being caught. Unless they bring some random character in to catch him and make him pay for something he did to someone...like Buffalo Bill situation almost. No happy ending though....MAYBE Kim gets one...or something close to it like Jessie. They cannot leave Kims story as is though.....gotta tie that up. I still think they can do a series with Jessie...he was a great character. Follow where he went and how he changed...I would watch that, but there is no other character minus MAYBE Gus who could get one, but Gus would have to be a prequel and too many years have passed. I doubt they ever do it, but I would watch a series set in current day with Jessie...introducing all kinds of new characters with different plot lines.
  10. I actually thought she was going to do it on the bus...rather than cry, pull a gun out and blow her head off. Right there.
  11. Ok so this kinda fits here.....Stranger Things....last episode of the last season....Eddie rippin Master of Puppets on top of the trailer.....awesome. Probably my favorite part of that whole season. Gave me Mad Max vibes with the doof, but a better riff.
  12. Fan win projection after tonight will be +3 games AT LEAST. Eating the corn bread and drinking the kool aid. This team will not win more than 6 games. Why are we gushing about that? I kinda get it...good draft picks, we think we got the right coach now....but that is basically every regime change. Go out and surprise us and win 8-9 games and I will be impressed.
  13. Yeah I know, but the way they were acting was not the same as early in BB...at least that is what I noticed.
  14. Do we think the feds are on the secretary? I would assume they would still be following her and even though she does make a few turns to rid herself of someone she thought was following her...may be hard to know for sure. I would assume they would have already tracked the number back to where Gene is at currently. I would also assume she is using different phones...also ASSUMING they have talked before since everything went down. How did Gene get word to her to be at that phone at that time?
  15. So was Jimmy actually talking to Kim in the booth? He was in a heated discussion and obviously pissed about something at the end of it. I am assuming he talked to Kim and she basically told him to leave her alone and he lost it. Gene just turning back into Slippin Jimmy, going full circle. Scamming just to scam apparently...need that money after finding out all his shells are compromised. They did bring up the lazer tag which was a cool throw back. The scene with Walt and Jessie did not feel right...I am sure the actors get into character over time and when asked to revisit that character again for a short time it comes off weird...or maybe it was just me...it did not feel right the way they were acting in that scene. I think the add in is the cancer. It did not do much for me at all. It was kinda cool to see Mike telling Saul that Walt was amateur and to stay away. Makes Mikes ending a little more tragic. I mean he was not a fan of Walt through most of BB anyway, but to see it right off the bat. There is something extremely creepy about Jimmy picking these guys out...it is not random or just opportunistic...he talks about how hard it is to find guys with no family, who live alone and have money....then he has to figure out where they like to drink then just saddle up and play the moron. I started out kinda rooting for Jimmy...the first few seasons maybe, but when it gets into the nitty gritty about what he does it just hammers home the idea that he is the bad guy.
  16. So was that tweet supposed to do something? I mean, yeah putting a dog or cat down blows, been there done that, cried like a baby (and I never do that)...also went to work the day after my brothers funeral...this is what adults do. No one ever puts themselves in the boss/managers position. Dude is probably working double shifts all over the place because no one can be bothered to work a "menial" job like that. Are we supposed to hate the boss, hate Starbucks or jobs in general? Can we have sympathy for the girl who put the dog down, AND the boss? Or is that not allowed? Do we have to demonize the boss because he is a big meanie?
  17. Gotta do a zoom court hearing in small claims in a few weeks. Not looking forward to the experience, especially since I will be camping, so we gotta find a good spot somewhere up there to go for the meeting.
  18. Too lazy to do all the work, but the Lions will be around 6 wins this year.
  19. Man...you are going to HATE me in this thread. 🤣
