  1. the wings had the easiest schedule of all the 8th place contenders. then larkin got hurt and they lost ALL of those easy games. now they have to beat good teams in order to make it which means they probably arent going to make it.
  2. sure, but we'll end up picking fifth.
  3. i just threw up a little bit when i read that. the best part will be reading jeiii defend it.
  4. what's wrong with you? lol.
  5. the pistons need to win 5 games to avoid tying the franchise record for losses in a season. by "srs" this is already the worst team in franchise history. three of the worst 5 seasons have come under weaver. the 16 win pistons did not have a first round pick the next year (the worst team by record but 3rd worst in srs). how depressing would that be? they still won 21 games the next year and got isiah thomas #2 in the 1981 draft. they took kelly tripuka as well as isiah and won 39 games the next year. under troy weaver the pistons have had 5 lottery picks and have gotten worse each season. i'm not even mad. that's such impressive futility its amazing. the hinkie sixer won 19, 18, and 10 before the nba pulled the plug and forced them to fire hinkie and hire brian "burner phone" colangelo. the pistons under weaver have won 20, 23, 17, and 12. does the league just not care about the pistons? is that why they make us live through this hell?
  6. they need 4 points from the caps games. anything less than 3 and theyre probably toast. it really is a shame larkin got hurt.
  7. "give the games away for rischacher?"
  8. imagine if you paid to watch this g league team.
  9. next couple games will determine their season.
  10. i wouldnt retire osgood's number.
  11. the lions are coming up to some salary cap situations too. ergo wjy they didnt want to trade for and pay snead. again, snead is grabby amd gets to play across from a true #1 corner. it is quite possible the lions think davis is a better cb overall.
  12. why didnt anyone else give up more than a future third round pick for such an amazing cb?
  13. what's the point of all that cap space?
  14. and philly beat boston. think about that when we were getting blown out by arizona and buffalo.
  15. snead didnt even go for a 3rd rounder this year, he went for NEXT year's thirs round pick. that's even lower value. i think they'll extend davis and lower his cap hit. i dont know how much, but i think it will be lower than snead's $20m.
  16. just a reminder: winning percentage: matt millen: .320 troy weaver: .307
  17. why do you think snead went for a 3rd rounder? you do this every offseason with every detroit team. you see each shiny new free agent toy or trade target toy and you want to give up the farm or bust the budget to sign them.
  18. the owner of the team lobbies local governments to restrict in person visits so prisoners have to use their phone/video service, the head of the organization tries to fight fans in the stands, the front office trades for their clients and then immediately releases them so they can go play for other teams, and - worst of all - the head coach plays james wiseman on a regular basis. not only are we the most inept run organization in the nba, were also run by a bunch of unethical sleazeballs.
  19. or take the comp pick.
  20. i would be sick if the lions signed snead to that huge contract. i'd rather have the third round pick. there are 53 guys on an nfl roster and the lions are going to need to pay a lot of their guys a lot of money real soon.
  21. they'll re-sign saddiq bey just so they can stretch his contract and open up space to bring back marvin bagley.
