  1. g2! stop! he's been interviewing for nfl jobs for the past three years! he wants to coach in the nfl!
  2. ubuntu
  3. true, but i would be surprised. have you seen osu's team this year? they are a juggernaut.
  4. no one is going to trade for holl or petry. for what? holl is a healthy scratch half the time and is on a three year deal. petry is ancient. its not worth it for the wings to deal him for a 6th round pick. might as well keep him for depth. gotisbeare is the logical player to move. he's a good offensive player and good on the power play, he's got one year left on his reasonable deal, and he can be replaced by seider on the pp and edvinsson in 5 on 5.
  5. all those guys are in their first ahl season except edvinsson. no one should expect them to be tearing it up yet. it would be GREAT if they were, but they arent connor bedard. edvinsson is the one guy who should be performing well and IS performing well. if there is a disappointment, its soderblum.
  6. dutcher has fab five ties. no way they ask him. plus he is 64 years old. nate oats should be their first call. he is local and has reportedly always wanted the michigan job. and he's a good coach.
  7. so he wasnt doing this just to get more money out of michigan? no way...
  8. it was fun while it lasted. the best coach in my lifetime (sorry bo) has moved on. he accomplished his mission and brought michigan higher than any coach since fritz crisler (sorry lloyd).
  9. when michigan's football team backslides like its basketball team, he will be fired.
  10. five great prospects? the pistons will be pick 6th.
  11. david ortiz is in the hall of fame and barry bonds (and arod and clemens) is not. because ortiz danced like a clown for the media and smiled like a happy fat dude.
  12. johnson is 100% gone. glenn maybe 50%.
  13. yeah but he's not a center...
  14. no i'm not. youre talking in your usual apocalyptic terms about michigan somehow dropping football or becoming northwestern. i'm talking about them becoming a permanent second class to ohio state but still at their usual level of good but not great. iow, the last 20 years on repeat. huge difference.
  15. he'a 100% gone.
  16. you have never liked harbaugh. he's not staying. all i'm saying is that i think this is the high point in michigan football and will not be repeated unless they change how they view recruiting.
  17. i expect the lions to promote from within. maybe bring deuce staley back.
  18. no one gives a **** about what candace parker thinks, just like nobody gave a **** when she played.
  19. the bigger question is how all their veteran d men have avoided injury. i think the wings aasumed someone would get hurt and edvinsson would be the next one to step up. hasnt happened yet.
  20. edvinsson's season has not been disappointing. the fact that yzerman signed too many old defenseman is disappointing and - in hindsight - was a mistake. but edvinsson has been good in the ahl and by all accounts is ready for the nhl.
  21. be careful what you wish for. let us not forget what michigan football was like before harbaugh: richrod and brady hoke. never beat ohio state, ceded the state to msu, lost to toledo at home. basically a laughingstock. that could very easily happen again without a program as good as this current one in finding and developing 3 and 4* talent. in all honesty, i'd be shocked if it DIDNT happen. these are the glory days of michigan football. unless you get another unicorn coach or a major change in how the university sees how it views its athletics program, youre going to end up with the basketball team all over again. remember, before beilein left, michigan basketball routinely made final fours and turned 3* kids into nba players. how is that working out now that beilein is gone? the same thing can happen to football quite easily.
  22. hopefully by paying lots and lots of money.
  23. lose your stars and youre done. doc will keep giannis happy. he'll let other people do the whole "coaching" and "strategery" thing and stick to speeches. and there's nothing wrong with that.
