  1. exactly!!!!! he was a moron.
  2. one man's amateur box score reader/you tube highlight watcher/old hockey fan who has seen a lot come and go and been burned by thinking yves racine was the next reed larson... positives: edvinsson is ready now and should really be on the top team. the downside of bringing in petry at the last minute, imo. asp looks like an offensive beast. small but with a great shot and great offensive mobility. defense? shut your whore mouth about defense... danielson was so impressive in training camp. scoring decently in the whl. he still reminds me of a poor man's jonathan toewes. middle: i'm not sold on cossa and hope they trade him for a big piece considering they have augustine waiting in the wings now. mazur has been hurt too long to tell. he needs time to get back up to speed. before the injury he was knocking on the door. i have a feeling his ceiling is a more sound bertuzzi, his likely outcome is veleno. wallinder is in his first year in ahl, too early to tell but he's not exactly lighting it up. buium is still in college but his numbers are ok. his little brother was profiled as an up and coming prospect recently...but not our guy. he may max out as ollie maata if he makes it. or part of a trade like sebrango was. like sebrango he was a surprise subtraction from some national teams. might be maxxing out now. lombardi is really small but i still have high hopes. he's also not ripping it up but its his first season in the ahl. i think the wings are pushing their guys quickly to the ahl this time to give them a taste of the physical nature of the nhl. dropping: kasper hasnt done anything. very disappointing so far. looks like a try hard third line center with some skill. feisty. jt compher ceiling with a brad marchand attitude? a get under your skin guy more than a game breaking talent. soderblum looks more and more like a career ahl/nhl yo yo guy. his skating may never develop to the point he's an nhl player. that said, if he can get stronger and keep his great handle, he might have a career as a gargantuan tomas holmstrom. future: they took a bunch of big defensemen last year. havent heard a ton about them. dower nilsson profiles as a potential scorer but he's not exactly ripping it up this year and he's still in the swedish "minors". compare dower nilsson to asp. asp is two years younger and has 8 goals in sweden's top division. dower nilsson isnt even there yet. buchelnikov is only 20 and is playing full time in russia's top league now. has 4 goals in 24 games. could be one to watch. red savage has 16 points in 16 games for msu this year.
  3. fontes was awful. they had an identity with barry and the run and shoot and then he changed them to a two tight end team overnight. he lobbied for andre freaking ware. pat swilling. every mistake the lions ever made in that time was because of that moron. he went into philly for the playoffs against an 8-8 philly team led by RODNEY PEETE and got obliterated. fontes was a clown, not a football coach.
  4. traded for james wiseman. a good bench role player traded for the worst player in the nba. ladies and gentlemen, troy weaver.
  5. the most philly thing ever. some fat ass white dude on the sideline trying to fight people at an eagles game.
  6. the jets are actually doing pretty well considering they lost rogers and had to start zach wilson. that's not a saleh thing, that's a gm thing.
  7. filip zadina has 3 goals and 2 assists in 21 games played for san jose. -19. so whose fault is it now, filip?
  8. probably the same deal as ras. ras has kind of disappointed this year. i wonder if the injury is still bothering him?
  9. its really impossible to rank them, its more of a grouping. but this is a message board! so rank we will! 1) notre dame 2) alabama 3) ohio state 4) michigan 5) texas 6) oklahoma 7) penn state 8 georgia 9) lsu 10) florida state HM: nebraska, tennessee, florida, usc, texas a&m, oregon, washington. i dont think any other big ten teams qualify. no way for wisconsin. no way for clemson. they're already fading away. nebraska is only there because of their amazing history and massive fan base. sleeping giant.
  10. its hard to say. how do you measure it? tv ratings? success? fan bases? money?
  11. veleno seems to have displaced rasmussen as the "guy who goes into the corners" on the top line. i did not have that on the ol bingo card.
  12. at what point does stevie call up edvinsson?
  13. phew. too close for comfort.
  14. is he better than what you have now? he hasnt done anything since coming back from injury. youre basing your whole opinion on draft status and what he did in college, thst was three years ago.
  15. the risk is you lose a third round pick. and youre not guaranteed a comp pick for him if you sign other free agents. this aint baseball. and that assumes someone else wants to pay big money to a guy who has been injured and never returned to any sort of form since the injury. pass. and he had a rep as lazy and selfish in washington.
  16. in fairness, florida state louisville was on at the same time as michigan iowa. georgia bama had no competition for cfb viewers.
  17. not only would have traded for him, you would have had to give him the massive contract extension the bears just did. otoh, he is playing really well for the bears and having him across from hutch would make a nice 1-2. in hindsight, i would not have made that trade.
  18. michigan is trying to do it differently. using nil to reward players who stay rather than as an inducement to come (which is, in fact, the actual nil rule...and we KNOW how much the big ten is all about sticking to the letter of the rule, especially osu, get on it pettiti!) theyre also put behind the 8 ball a bit because of their ridiculous academic admissions department that thinks STANFORD credits dont even meet the exalted standards of the mighty university of michigan.
  19. cause i think he's a mercenary. that's three transfers in three years. the going gets tough and dante moore goes to get another bag. the larger "ugh" is that it means theyre not going to get bryce underwood. he'll take his bag from lsu.
  20. they also made it seem like the lions were actual contenders if only kevin glover, lomas brown, chris spielman, etc had stayed. ummm...no. they were not when they left and giving all those guys big bags of money wouldnt have changed that. the larger point is that the lions were a **** organization.
  21. chase young has done nothing eventful in san fran and is a free agent after this year. not sure why youre so fascinated with him. the real question is whether you would have traded a first round pick for sweat.
  22. ugh.
  23. they'll pay for whomever they want in the portal. osu will be ok.
