with all that said, part of me really wants michigan to go the sec. lol. the rational part of me doesnt, because the rational part of me likes playing purdue and indiana and minnesota every year because they always beat them. the irrational part of me wants to stick it to the big ten. but that's just a lot of sour grapes on my part.

i get michigan is aggrieved, but the future of college football is two super conferences and michigan isnt leaving one of them and forming some new one on its own. texas, usc, and notre dame arent leaving their gigs because michigan got mad its coach got a 3 game suspension. there really isnt anything they can do about it, despite their status as the other 800 pound gorilla in the conference. youre going to bite the bullet this time and realize everyone hates you, just like you didnt leave the conference when they added msu over your objection and you didnt leave the conference when they voted osu to the rose bowl over you because franklin got hurt. tony pettiti might have handled this poorly, but to the other 13 teams in the conference, he handled it just fine. the big ten is not just michigan and if michigan were to leave, they could go get notre dame and it would be a wash. mgoblog's perception of michigan's status in the world is much more outsized than it really is, imo.

they've been salty for a while now. theyre such homers, i love it. although seth drives me crazy.

platinum equity/tom gores have owned the pistons for 13 years. they've had one winning season in that time.

that goes back to team construction and lineups. killian and ausar on the floor kill any room for cade. they were much better on offense when duren was there for the pnr with cade. bogey at least opens up some space. burks has to be on the floor with cade to give SOME space. without him cade is just running into triple teams. again, saddiq wasnt great, but he provided some spacing if you could get him to play that role (which atl has done but casey couldnt). and you replaced it with nothing.

draymond deserves like 15 games for that. and i love kat standing there acting like he's trying to get draymond off of gobert. pansy ass kat.

zach lavine is a great athletic talent, one of the most explosive offensive players in the nba. and a loser. he's a losing player. he doesnt make anyone else better. he doesnt pass. he doesnt play defense. he is bad in clutch situations but goes one on five anyway down the stretch. he's empty calories. he's a more likeable james harden. that team with him and derozan is unwatchable. a series of one on one plays with no movement and then doing nothing on d. they'll win 38-40 games because those guys are great scorers, but when the other team wants to win, they'll usually beat the bulls. the bulls are easy to beat in the playoffs: double derozan and let lavine shoot them out of the game. lavine as bench scorer? good. lavine as third man on the lakers? good, cause lebron will keep lavine's ego in check. lavine on the sixers with maxey and embiid? hmmmm....only if maxey develops into a true #1, but i can see morey betting on the talent (just like his fascination with harden).

i still think cade can be a really good player. like, really good. but man, this is tough to watch. he's regressed. what happened to "dominated the world championship practices" cade? what happened to opening night cade? he's gotten worse every single game. ivey doesnt even look like the same player as last year. he looks depressed and is playing sad basketball.

trae young didnt even play. cade was garbage again. how much are they paying monty williams to coach THIS? i hate tom gores but even i admit he has a right to be pissed about the product on the floor. every time i feel like weaver should be fired asap i remember that duren and half the team are injured. the team should look better when (if???) they ever get their role players back. it would be real hard to look worse. then i remember that weaver traded assets for james wiseman and i think i was right the first time and that he does deserve to be fired asap. i know i should have more patience with a young team, but this is awful. del said he should be in trouble if a team in year 4 of a rebuild cant even sniff a play-in game. well....were definitely on track for that. on the bright side, houston may never get that #1 pick we traded for stewart because we'll never finish outside the lottery. ha! jokes on you, houston!

lost season for houston. the ends have been a real disappointment this year (other than hutch, of course). romeo was never a real rushing end but even that has fallen off. charles harris has been bad. cominsky is just a plugger. julian okwara has now had his chance and hasnt shown anything. houston was a real find last year ao its a shame he got injured. they desperately needed one of those guys to step up. they've even started to put campbell at rush linebacker some because everyone else has failed.
