Week Ten: Detroit Lions (6-2) @ Los Angeles Chargers (4-4)

2014. they lost their next two. -
inject the clippers implosion right into my veins. i hope kwahi and george leave and they have zero draft picks from here to eternity. and they sign russ and harden to long term deals because its the only thing they can do.

why are you optimistic he can shoot? -
Matt Shepard Out as Tigers PBP, Jason Benetti In.

sometimes benetti and stone got too much into their back and forth and it got annoying, but he's still a great broadcaster. great voice and a good sense of humor (even if he does go overboard at times). he actually made bill walton listenable (at times). he'll probably be better moved away from stone. not that there's anything wrong with stoney, he's great, but it seemed like they spent a lot of time trying to outclever each other and it took away from the broadcast. good to see the tigers be flexible with him and recognize an opportunity to get a good talent. the white sox - as usual - ran off a good young talent because reinsdorf didnt like him, pinched pennies, and personally attacked him at the negotiations. i wouldnt call the tigers a model organization by any means, but the sox are their own brand of stupid run by a guy who is really too old to be calling the shots anymore. -

levi and martin as inactive? no way. how many draft picks did we waste trading up for a guy who never plays? levi will be cut next year. oh well, they cant all be hits. -
josh dobbs will eventually turn back into josh dobbs.

i am interested to see if they match ausar on lavine full time tonight or split it with killian/cade. i hate to see cade guarding the other team's better offensive players. wastes his energy sibce he has to take all of the offense all by himself. they really need a win tonight, but i wouldnt be surprised if the bulls are looking for a little revenge after last time. if duren isnt healthy enough to go full speed i expect the bulls to win. its hard to see the pistons winning many games with this current lineup and half their team injured. -

i have no problem with them picking ausar. i think he's already a great defender and a smart player. you can see it when he cuts and when he passes. he is going to be a very good - maybe even great - nba defensive player. however, he cannot shoot at all. he makes killian look like a deadeye marksman. i think it will get better, but not appreciably better and that limits the type of player he can be. if he could do all that he does AND shoot, he would have been the #2 pick in the draft and be a generational player. as it is, he looks like he could be a generational defender. a shorter, weaker dennis rodman; or a scottie pippen type without the offense. nothing wrong with that for a ceiling. especially at #5. i think he's ultimately a winning player, but he'll always be a role player and a drag on the offense in a modern nba predicated on shooting. -
its ****ing ridiculous.

ausar's offense will always be a problem. -
too low on frank reich. they mortgaged the future to get bryce young and he looks terrible (while cj stroud looks great and anthony richardson looked electric before he got hurt). that owner will fire people and he's pissed. theyre going to be the laughingstock of the league if they get the #1 pick and it goes to the bears and the bears get a generational qb out of it while bryce young sucks. i think reich is gone for sure.
-
i dont think poles is going anywhere. they just let him trade another second round pick for a player, the bears are gonna win another 2 or 3 games, and they are going to get the #1 pick in the draft because of a trade he made last year. dont underestimate the stupidity of bears ownership. now that wcf is dead, theyre the worst ownership in the league. they may even keep eberflus around, especially if they win 3 games to end the year (a real possibility since this is the nfl).

jim harbaugh. if harbaugh leaves it will be someone on staff. i shudder to think about michigan's next coaching search. harbaugh fell into their laps. there is no other person with those credentials who would do so. look at the horrible disorganized mess that is the michigan athletic department under warde manuel. its a joke. you want THAT LOT in charge of picking a coach? that's how you got richrod and brady hoke.
-
its the former. those pac ten schools would light up big ten defenses. look at what washington did to michigan state. that's why for all the emotional talk about michigan moving out of the big ten it wont happen. michigan is in a great situation right now of dominating a bad league. otoh, with usc, oregon, and washington coming on board, the competition just got a little tougher. maybe we will go to the acc to make it easier on ourselves? we do love an easy schedule.
-
jimbo fisher out at texas a & m. lol. all that money they spent on talent and they still cant win.
-
i think a one loss osu gets in over any other 1 loss team, but not over an undefeated washington or florida state. it could be like last year. osu loses to michigan but still makes it in because other undefeated teams have to play in conference championship games, which some of them will lose which lets osu get in through the back door. michigan is out with one loss.
-
he's right, though. how many cheating scandals has the sec had? they simply dont do this internal hari kari for the most part. you dont think they all know how to cheat? they dont have bagmen? of course they do. in fact, they all hire the same guys! what osu did is really weird from that respect. the fact that so many in the press have bought it tells you how little they actually know or how they just turn a blind eye in favor of access (remember how all of the local press were shocked when the fab five turned out to be getting paid?).
-
i think usc, washington, and oregon have the athletes and speed to make big ten teams sweat. lets remember, other than michigan and ohio state and penn state, the big ten SUCKS.
-
i dont think ohio state is eliminated if they lose to michigan on the road.
-
"we aint comin, we already here."
-
it went out because they couldnt block penn state's defensive ends. dont give up a big play turnover, just grind it out. they lost jim harbaugh today but channeled bo schembechler.
-
michael rosenberg with the most reasonable take. how ironic. i'd love to see michigan leave for the sec but that's because i'm angry in the moment. in the big picture, its not going to give up its spot in the big ten, the richest conference in college football over this. but i would love to see them explore it.
