  1. ok, then how can you ever analyze anyone who plays football?
  2. i hope youre right, but i would be very surprised, especially without corum.
  3. i think ohio state is soft up front and georgia is going to physically beat them more than michigan did. georgia's pass rush will bother stroud. i think georgia is on a different level than michigan or ohio state.
  4. probably not. it took ohio state fans a few years to figure out how to post things on "the internets."
  5. this is my impression of goff as well.
  6. i see a steady decline since 2018 until this year. look at his qbr. the fancy stats show he dropped off significantly since 2018. part of this is perception. there will be numbers out there that dont show a "steady" decline or a significant decline, but i think there are enough indications that he was playing poorly in LA and here last year to convince me he did decline significantly and steadily.
  7. but, but, but....trash cans!
  8. and now larkin is hurt. out tomorrow.
  9. kinda like mike hart....but a little bit faster. it wouls have been nice to see him play this year against georgia. i think corum is a 3rd or 4th round pick at best coming off that knee injury.
  10. a healthy swift has made a big difference for this team. i dont know if corum is as talented as swift. that said, im not opposed to the lions taking a running back after seeing how well the offense runs with multiple good backs in it. and if swift cant stay healthy, they're going to need another playmaker back there.
  11. if holmes thinks stroud or levis or hooker or that kid from florida are going to be game breakers at qb then you draft one of them. jared goff is not that kind of player. if you dont, you pass on them and run with jared for another year and look to next year's class.
  12. the jets game will be a big test for goff. he had a similar test against the giants and passed it, so there is precedent. the jets are a better defense than the giants, so it should be tougher.
  13. wilson strikes me as a phony. i take things marshawn lynch and richard sherman say with a grain of salt, but now people in denver are making the same types of criticisms. him making some big deal about running up and down the aisles on the flight to london before their london game? give me a break. phony pr bullshit that everyone laughed at. i find it very funny denver gave up multiple first round picks for him.
  14. i see a dominant player. not sure if he has the dominant mentality. he's been at his best when he takes over offensively, but too often he spends his time playing point guard and making sure everyone is getting their shots. that's not a terrible trait to have, and if he develops into a 6'7 chris paul that will be awesome. but i want to see the cade we seem to see every 4th quarter to be the cade we see in quarters 1-3 too. he's also very young still. lots of time to become a more consistent shooter and to get bigger physically. passing to victor will also help. 😉
  15. all true, but the niners have an offensive line unlike tampa bay. san fran is his home too. or at least where he grew up. and he doesnt seem like a guy who realizes that he might not have it anymore. (and he just lost a ton of money)
  16. i thought the broncos would be really good too.
  17. my packers to the super bowl prediction is....not so good. but i did have the lions in second place! lol.
  18. all sorts of rumors that brady will end up on the niners. i think glenn gets the houston or denver job if they come open.
  19. sigh. better for draft position, but not good for development.
  20. i wouldnt trade him for that lakers pick unless it was unprotected. then i might consider it, but probably not. its too speculative.
  21. i think both lions coordinators will get looks as head coaches. aaron glenn has been mentioned for a while.
  22. dallas is better than detroit. detroit is in that mushy middle of teams. but they're rising to the top of that mushy middle.
  23. jets might be starting joe flacco. or worse, zach wilson.
  24. that's why i assumed they would take one this year. let him sit behind goff for at least a year.
  25. josh allen is much more of a difference maker at qb than jared goff. the lions should always be looking for upgrades in talent at every position, including qb. if they think there is a future difference maker at qb, then draft him. if not, stay with steady eddie jared goff. i still dont believe goff is really anything more than a game manager, but that's ok. those guys are valuable too.
