nyah, sec schools come up with millions every year. every. single. year. you think michigan donors dont have the money sec donors do? and dont give me any holier than thou michigan bullshit about how youre graduates are smarter or better than them. michigan donors have been dying to spend money for years, the admin wont let them. thats the only thing holding them back.

considering salary and or compensation? carr rodgers garappolo brady
-
is this your new troll? lol.
-
i think prospect rankings are a bit silly, but still find this a hilarious legacy of al avila.
-
i doubt the jets move up to draft a qb. the jets are in the market for a qb who can help them win now. rodgers or carr or convincing tom brady to play another year. not take a project and hope he gets better next year.

i hate the bears, but i can recognize that they were damn good in the 80s. its like u$c. everyone knows theyre a bunch of arrogant cheaters who succeeded as much on luck as skill, but i can still acknowledge theyve been pretty good at times. 🙂

14-2 is not a disappointing team. youre a lions fan for god's sake! they lost to the 12-4 redskins. the same skins that won the super bowl the next year.
-
depends on who is left at 6. if carter or anderson are there, i say no. if they arent, then get it done if no one is offering you a 2024 first.
-
between 84 and 91 the bears went: 10-6 15-1 14-2 11-4 12-4 6-10 11-5 11-5 they won the division 6 times and 5 years in a row. they won a super bowl. they were the most dominant team in the division and one of the most dominant teams in the league. they just happened to play in the nfc during a time when it was full of dominant franchises: giants, niners, and redskins. the eagles were pretty damn good too.
-
the bears went 14-2 in 1986. i'd like to be that disappointed as a lions fan just once.
-
i like aaron glenn, but i hope he gets a head coaching gig. if he does, i wonder who they'll bring in and whether they'll run the same defense? it would do a lot to their draft plans/free agent plans if they didnt.

bey is a decent role player. how much do you want to pay him?

i hate the bears with a passion, but they did have a very dominant stretch in the 1980s. every team in the nfc north has had a dominant stretch in the super bowl era except for one...
-
you also have to remember, these are the bears. the only thing dumber than the bears are bears fans. the organization finally got wise (75 years after it started) and is building a new stadium. but the mccaskeys still own the team and make decisions on who picks the players, etc. i, for one, cannot wait to bet money on the bears under win total next year. just like this year, it will be too high because vegas knows bears fans are a special kind of stupid when it comes to their football team.
-
correct. goff would be a sitting duck on the bears. fields succeeded because he is the best running back in the league. goff would have no one to throw to and no time to do it. you cant just take goff's stats from this lions team and plunk them down on the bears. goff would get killed on that team. which is not a knock on goff, its a knock on the bears.

i would be extremely surprised if the bears were that creative. they also have so many holes AND they traded the first pick in the second round for chase freaking claypool, which doesnt make me have a lot of confidence in their leadership. they have 100 million in cap space and are likely to use it on darron payne and orlando brown. that's a start, but they are so massively talent deficient and fields is going to get expensive in two years. honestly, that's the biggest thing with their plans. fields will be in year 3 next year and the team stinks. they are going to lose the "rookie qb scale" advantage very soon. if he becomes lamar jackson, its all good. if he doesnt, they have to start over. that's why a lot of people are advocating they take a qb number one this year and either ditch fields or make him a receiver/utility player. like you said cruzer, that would be dangerous. they wont do it. its too radical. they'll either trade down and/or take anderson or carter.
-
they talk about fields like he's lamar jackson here in chicago. in fairness, he is a dynamic runner. maybe the best athlete at qb in the league. and this coaching staff was able to get some good stuff out of him. moreover, he playes behind the worst offensive line and with the worst receiving corps in the league. the bears truly are terrible. with a decent line and decent receivers, fields should be better. that said, he still seems to have problems getting the ball out quickly and diagnosing plays. and i dont think he'll be able to play without getting injured if he keeps playing that style. he'd be a great change of pace player on the lions, but not at the salary he's going to command soon.
-
i'd keep 6 and draft a qb. fields is due to get paid in 2 years. gimme the qb on the rookie deal and i'll build the roster around him. besides, im sure tom brady would reconsider his retirement talk if he knew the lions job was open.

michigan loses out on nyck harbor and will have a grand total of 0 5* kids in this poor recruiting class. they better get their act together or this is going to be the high point of harbaugh's tenure.

the pistons might not lose this game...if they continue to be stuck in dallas. -

im not a big wilson fan, and i kind of hope he fails miserably. but he did improve once hackett left town. maybe he wasnt the only thing wrong in denver? dunno.
