  1. michigan has been so good this year with a 5* qb, a 5* qb, and a top 4* rb. when they get those guys in this recruiting class, let me know. mopping up on "sleeper" 3*s and low 4* decommits doesnt move the needle for this team. bringing in portal guys to cover up recruiting deficiencies and portal transfers is one thing, but expecting to be at the top of the big ten moving forward? nyah bro. you need 5* talent at the key positions if you want to play with the big boys. jj and edwards give you that. and you need to replenish those stocks asap. btw, dante moore left oregon before playing a down. off to ucla to collect their nil money before moving on.
  2. 100% rooting for green bay.
  3. goff? who would goff start for in this league? no: packers, bears, vikings, eagles cowboys, bucs, rams, cardinals, bills, dolphins, bengals, ravens, browns, jaguars, chiefs, chargers, and broncos. to me, the lions starters on 20 other teams are sewell, decker, ragnow, jackson, st. brown, swift. and that's it. hutch might be a starter because of draft position but not production. no lions secondary member starts for 20 teams in the league. okudah MAYBE. nobody else is close. mcneill? i dont know enough about dt production to say. so maybe? i think ben johnson would be an upgrade to OC for more than 20 teams.
  4. it seemed like seider was on the ice for the entire game.
  5. anyone with any knowledge of lions history (or league history) should be wary of this team winning 2 of 3 on the road to clinch a playoff spot.
  6. game threads are places where people vent. some people have schticks they feel the need to perpetrate every game. others have obnoxious shit they feel the need to post every single day. such is the internet.
  7. other fans think of the lions like you think of the panthers or the falcons. nice story that you pay attention to peripherally maybe, but you dont really care.
  8. their next game is also against a team in the playoff chase, on the road.
  9. come on now, the niners and cowboys are favorites and the vikes are likely a slight favorite too.
  10. i think he wants the challenge, thats why he wanted the vikes job.
  11. cause the guy who hired urban in jax is not a very good owner.
  12. people might be lions-curious, but that does not make them a national team or even a popular team. if the lions start to win, they will become popular very quickly, but they arent there yet. tiers: truly national teams: cowboys, packers. second tier national teams: steelers, bears, giants, niners, raiders, chiefs, broncos. third tier recent history makes them national draws teams: pats, whatever team tom brady plays for, bills the lions will need a few years of sustained success to reach tier 3.
  13. that's cause it was thanksgiving and the only game on tv. the dallas game had much higher ratings. what teams do you think are national teams?
  14. the lions are not a national team. if they get two, it will likely be green bay and kansas city. or maybe an nfc east team. it wont be because of detroit. the last time i can think of the lions being any sort of draw was when they had barry sanders. when barry was there they had two mnf games in the same season 3 times, and even then it was towards the end of barry's career.
  15. monday night football has been around for 52 years. in that time, the lions have had two mnf games in the same season 8 times, and only once since 2000. 3 of their last 4 have been against green bay.
  16. if the lions get a mnf game, its because they are matched against a popular team like the packers or bears or pats. like i said, they have the afc west next year so they have a shot because teams like the chiefs, raiders, and broncos are national teams.
  17. honestly, i dont know why he isnt snapped up by an nfl team. he's taken a team to the super bowl, he's taken michigan from the dregs to back to back big ten titles, the dude is a great coach. but he's bot young anymore so nfl teams ignore him. i dont get it.
  18. probably not. but they have the afc west next year, so maybe you get a lions-chiefs game to go with a lions-packers game?
  19. you might add the bucs to that list too. maybe the chargers.
  20. i think goff checked into that play. it looked like he walked to the line and killed the first read.
  21. i just hope the lions hire at least one bad coach next year so dan campbell has someone to fire in order to start a new winning streak.
  22. Anthony Davis In Street Clothes
  23. i had forgotten how much i dislike argentina. the diving, the complaining, the smack talk, the "physical play." this world cup brought it back.
  24. lions might have to replace both their coordinators this offseason.
