erne on waivers.

i dont know, maybe. them and the bears arent taking qbs. they'll probably want one of the two elite talents in the draft if they consider them elite. the bears really have nothing and are all in on carter, imo. the next buckner. their coach is from indy and you'd think he wants that guy in the middle of his defense. i still think that if you want carter, you have to get in front of the bears. anderson or tyree wilson are slated for arizona and seattle, imo. you never know, obviously. but i think the lions are in a bad spot if they want one of the top 2 defenders. we shall see. some team may like wilson more because of his physical measurements.

that sounds like politics all over the country

if carter's off field attitude issues are real, the lions may not want him. i think its more like 80% that neither carter nor anderson are there at 6. both certainly will not be. those two are rated as elite talents, maybe the only elite talents in the draft. arizona, seattle, and chicago are not likely to pass on them. i can see chicago trade down to 4, qbs go 1-2, then the lions will need to decide if they want to trade up to 3 to get one of them.

penn state went 11-2 and won the rose bowl. texas is a great state school, just like michigan. the fact that the governor's policies on certain issues displeases you wont change that. in fact, the university of michigan and its regents havent exactly covered themselves in glory lately. especially the athletic department.

a lot of this is michigan (and northern) arrogance. there is little difference between rural michigan, ohio, and pennsylvania and much of the south. ohio and pennsylvania are football hotbeds too. there are plenty of pro teams in georgia and florida. there are probably more businesses headquartered in atlanta than detroit, not to mention texas is about to join the league. is there a huge intelligence difference between austin and the hallowed halls of ann arbor, michigan? michigan continually got top ten recruiting classes (many times top 5) prior to NIL. once nil kicked in, michigan refused to play and has suffered. meanwhile, the schools michigan considers to be its peers: notre dame and penn state, have caught on and are paying to play. michigan hasnt. the "ohio state is a southern school" thing is a crutch for michigan to use to excuse recruiting failures, but its not really true. its "proximity to kentucky" is a meaningless strawman considering indiana and illinois are both located in areas you would likely consider "northern kentucky" and yet they suck at recruting (and yes they have rich graduates too). and finally, michigan's own history belies any idea that they cant compete on the pay for play front. unless you've forgotten the Fab Five? michigan football is a national brand. it will continue to be a national brand if they choose to play by the new rules. if not, they can choose to be northwestern.

graham glasgow too.

chris hoiles turned out to be a pretty good catcher. sigh. but we had matt nokes blocking his path!

i remember sparky being very excited they got freddy lynn. unsurprisingly, freddy wasnt very good anymore.

lets wait and see on vatai. they need a guard, he's a good clubhouse guy, sewell apparently loves him. he'd probably restructure. all depends on the medicals on the back. back injuries in football players (especially big guys) arent good. i want him to come back because they need a road grader guard, but i'm skeptical he will be able to play at a high level again.
-
yes! keep it up baby! (maybe i shouldnt say that in a thread dominated by grady dick?)

none of this should surprise anyone. the "little engine that could nets" were at least likeable. and the durant/kyrie/harden nets won one playoff series. for all that money and all that drama they won one playoff series.

every media person who is plugged into the athletic department disagrees with you.

they are smartly getting a domed stadium. soldier field is a shithole and incredibly inconvenient to get to. and the bears do not own it. its a ridiculous set up. the city of chicago had many many chances to work with the bears and get them a new stadium, but they refused becuase the city of chicago is a horribly run city (and the bears are a horribly run team). now theyre doing the smart thing and moving. the current administration can call fhe bears names and act indignant, but they did nothing to prevent this from happening. not that it matters in the long run, she's not likely to win re-election and it will be an upset if she makes the run off. not impossible, but unlikely.

and you dont think alums of sec schools have been tapped in the same manner? all schools alumni have been tapped. dont be so arrogant, michigan man. lol.
-
the packers arent going for derek carr. nor are the saints, who have no money.
-
g2, they are being MICHIGAN about nil. they are abiding by the letter of the law, which says you cannot promise money to recruits to get them to come to your school. every other school is doing it, michigan refuses to do it. nyck harbor went to south carolina because they promised him millions. michigan wouldnt do it and so he didnt come here. but in your world, michigan somehow cant compete with all that south carolina gamecock alumni money.
-
so how do sec schools come up with the money? how does oregon do it?

almost none of us have anything to base our opinions on of the tigers' system versus other teams' systems. we dont follow other teams like we do detroit. all we can see are results on the field. and those suck.
