  1. not a good win, but always good to see the cindy and the penguins lose.
  2. well....i did mention slater... the shorter the arms the easier it is to get into your chest. but not im an oline guru, what do i know?
  3. selfishly, i would love to see him with the big club, but i cant see that happening. he's only 18. then again, when steve yzerman was 18 he played 80 games and scored 39 goals...
  4. lots of people grade him as the top tackle on the board, but im not sure nfl scouts see him as that. i was listening to something the other day that said no one in the league at tackle has arms that short, and only three tackles were close. one is a decent player and the other two are bench filler. it would be unprecedented to have someone with arms that short play tackle in the nfl. that said, they also brought up that hutch's arms are extraordinarily short for a de and he seems to be doing fine. precedents are broken all the time. they said similar stuff about rashawn slater and he's been great.
  5. i wonder if they would bring him right to detroit? seems rather bold.
  6. mazur and wallinder in GR next year. kasper too? i figure bedard will make the team out of camp...
  7. that cant be right, dan campbell loves jared goff.
  8. he gives me michael brockers and snacks harrison vibes. sometimes age catches up to you very quickly in the nfl.
  9. i dont think they need to replace juwan. he was doing fine until this season. i still think it was jett. his own mom called him a problem a child. if hunter and kobe come back they should be good to go with some portal help. if you put terrance shannon on this year's michigan team - which was signed, sealed, and delivered until the academic department vetoed it and he ended up at illinois - they're a tournament team for sure.
  10. on the old jimmy johnson chart the #3 pick is worth 2200 points. the lions are giving up 2834.5 in value under that trade scenario.
  11. on the modern draft value chart, the value of the #3 pick is 514 points. under the same chart, the value the lions gave up in that trade above is 829 points. the panthers gave up 745 plus dj moore to go from 9 to 1. the lions would be giving up more draft capital just to move up 3 spots and not get the top pick. pff is full of crap. theyre the same outlet that had us taking malik willis for months last year.
  12. wallinder contract signed. coming to GR for the rest of the season. imagine they might have him penciled in for detroit next year. maybe at the halfway point next season?
  13. depends who was there, but probably not. i'd rather take one of the corners or wilson.
  14. he got the qb wrong, that was a big problem too.
  15. i'd rarher have darnell wright than skoronski. no way i'd take either at 6. take one of the corners instead.
  16. im not saying i'd prefer it, but it is another option that would likely cost less draft capital. we dont even know if simmons is available.
  17. to pay an elite wide receiver like dhopkins and your elite tackle instead?
  18. wings now up to 8th on the tankathon board. realistically, they could get as low as 6th. islanders pick currently sitting at 17th.
  19. depends on the price. if hopkins is a one year rental, the price should be low, like a 5th round pick. sutton's price would be higher but he's younger. still, he's awfully pricey. maybe #55. more likely #81. i'd rather deal #18 for simmons.
  20. only issue would be whether you want to invest that much of your cap in simmons. i cant imagine a deal would get done until tennessee sees who is available at 6. you figure the lions freed up all that cap space for something...
  21. watching edmonton-vegas and its like watching a different sport than wings-flyers.
  22. there is little difference between veleno, luft, and czarnik.
  23. zadina hurt again. when your career fluctuates between "injured" and "disappointing", it might be time to cut bait.
  24. rumors are that mastrisimone wont be offered a contract. too bad if true.
  25. always good to see tom izzo lose and act like a baby afterwards. typical tommy tantrum, other team got lucky.
