  1. if michigan had scheduled ucla and beat them and then lost to osu, it would still have a shot at the final four. now it has no chance unless it beats osu. it went for immediate profit (only home games and no home and home series) over fan experience and credibility. for a program that supposedly prides itself on being better than others and "above" the other schools who cheat and dont travel north, its an indication that michigan is nothing but a paper tiger and are "holier than thou" in name only. i want michigan to take on challengers and all comers. i want michigan that played notre dame and miami in non conference when both were top 5 teams. that was a football program that had confidence. not this garbage. this is weak shit.
  2. maybe it does. but beating quality opposition matters more to me.
  3. tcu beating smu on the road is a better victory than anything michigan did non conference. again, it is the smallest bar to reach, but they reached it. tcu beating kansas on the road is better than any michigan road victory. beating ok state, oklahoma, and kansas state is collectively more impressive than michigan's one good victory over penn state at home. ymmv.
  4. sure, but no matter what happens, you'll complain and say campbell should be fired. "if the lions cared about their fans..." 🙂
  5. i think a team that loses one game on the road to a really good team has a better resume than a team who has played cupcakes and beaten one above average team at home. and played no one of consequence on the road. the committee will put michigan in the top 4 for sure. but they may be 4th. they definitely dont deserve to be ahead of tcu.
  6. if it were up to me, i would have michigan out of the top 4 right now. i'd definitely have tcu above them. i'd put oregon and tennessee and usc above them too. michigan has played no one and intentionally chose to play no one non conference. if they beat ohio state on the road, they can make the playoffs. until then, they can wallow outside the top 4 with the other pansy programs who are scared to play good teams.
  7. you would think berggren would have been a like for like with zadina. both are wingers who are flair players.
  8. big ten looks very down this year. michigan's next game is against emoni bates.
  9. big victory for the resistable force tonight. the moveable object will be disappointed.
  10. oruwariye was nowhere to be found now that jacobs is back. okudah struggled yesterday, imo. still looks more like a #2 corner or safety. joseph was awesome yesterday. i hope he can be out of concussion protocol by sunday. they need all the guys they can get to play against fields' legs.
  11. what does berggren have to do to get called up? were calling up journeymen nobodies over him.
  12. that's the "why am i listening to that fat soft guy lecture me about diet and exercise?"
  13. mattingly was a great player who deserves consideration but should probably not get in due to a shorter career and injury. baines is an abomination.
  14. youre obviously not concerned about defense. not only were kaline and gehringer top ten hitters, they were also two of the best defenders at their positions. cabrera was one of the best hitters of his generation, but a big minus in the field. and hank greenberg's peak was as good as cabrera's. and then he got 5 years taken away from him.
  15. tcu should be ranked ahead of them. one loss oregon should be ranked ahead of them. if they had played ucla and beat them (no given), and then lost to osu, they still have a shot at the playoff. instead, its all about osu.
  16. punished. punished so they never do it again. (dont look at next year's schedule...)
  17. there is no defending michigan's schedule this year and they deserve to be punished for it.
  18. so did south dakota state.
  19. we didnt make iowa suck. the football gods made iowa suck.
  20. give it time. all their good players will be "injured" right after xmas.
  21. we did not outplay green bay. they turned the ball over in the end zone twice and on the goal line a third time. we got some good turnovers for once. kerby joseph played his butt off. jeff okudah decided to injure our players but we survived...
  22. please lord, make the lakers trade for kyrie.
  23. that's a great win.
