  1. i think we all remember spencer dinwiddie who looked like garbage for the pistons and then turned into a player when he left, but spencer's shot was ok in detroit. killian's shot has become the "bonderman's changeup" for the pistons. hell, even andre drummond made some threes in his day. equally concerning was the inability to get to the basket and take contact. he was always fading away and never getting to the line. regardless, he's going to be out of the league soon unless he learns how to shoot.
  2. sparty, what are you doing here? go post in the msu football thread with all the sparty fans. oh wait.... 😋
  3. btw, i think its interesting that the league fines edwards for using a homophonic slur on instagram, which he apologized for, but doesnt say anything to kyrie for all his shenanigans, and instead just issued a generic "lets love everybody" press release. where's lebron and his outrage? i mean, when someone dared "like" a tweet about china lebron was all about lecturing him about how he needs to get educated about chinese history. but when kyrie endorses an anti semitic movie, lebron doesnt say shit? doesnt steve kerr want to make a statement? no? hmmm...
  4. didnt durant demand before the season started that nash be fired? so he got what he wanted. of course, durant also demanded they get kyrie and harden, iirc. durant is a lousy gm, to no one's surprise. remember when the nets were a plucky group of overachievers who had a good coach and a great team system? and then sold it all to get an injured durant, a fat james harden, and a dumbass in kyrie? lolz nets. you deserve your pain. between the garnett/pierce trade and this debacle, the nets might be the worst run franchise in the league. at least the lakers got a title out of their stupidity. that said, i see you minnesota. speaking of minnesota, did joe dumars fool us all and start masquerading as minnesota's gm? hmmm...the rest of the league is getting smaller and faster, i think i'll show them and get bigger and slower! at least joe didnt give up 5 number one picks to sign josh smith like minny did with gobert.
  5. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cap/2023/ lions salary cap for next year. not as much space as you might think considering how much they suck. goff eating up a big chunk of that and a lot of folks getting raises.
  6. michigan played a shit non conference schedule and are being rightly punished for it. imagine if they had kept ucla on the schedule and beat them? they'd be #2 in this poll. michigan cannot complain, they did this to themselves by scheduling like pussies.
  7. exactly. he is not a game breaking tight end. he's a guy who usually catches the ball and falls down. he aint george kittle or travis kelce or darren waller. and if youre not one of those guys at tight end, you're easily replaceable. another bob quinn failure for where he was picked in the draft and what he was billed to be. im just a little underwhelmed at the return, but given what i think about him i probably shouldnt be.
  8. hey man, they can lose to anyone left on the schedule too! and will be underdogs in probably every game but the bears at home.
  9. 1) the league sees that hockenson is a slightly above average tight end. 2) if that's all we got for hockenson i might have advocated keeping him! we move up 50 or so spots in the draft? meh. 3) oh great. another second round pick! 4) we may need these picks to trade up for a qb this year.
  10. the lions can beat any team left on the schedule except maybe the bills.
  11. im killian's biggest fan and even im done with him.
  12. penn state and michigan also walked down the tunnel together after the game and everything was fine.
  13. cade cunningham fears no deer.
  14. embarassed. its tough for them without bert, vrana, and even ras. but to me its still the defense that's just terrible. maata's been ok, but lindstrom and hagg are really bad. seider hasnt been good so far. chairot has been decent but he's a pretty limited player. they just cant get the puck and posses it when other teams press them.
  15. wings getting embarassed a bit. cant get possession and look so slow compared to buffalo. not that buffalo looks great either. but they can at least posses the puck for more than three seconds.
  16. tua isnt very good but the dolphins have put a scheme around him that plays to any strengths he may have. they get rid of the ball quickly to two of the fastest receivers in the game. every time he throws the ball past 20 yards its a long, slow duck that his receivers have to wait for. he's got a noodle arm. be honest tater, if the lions drafted tua you'd be complaining they didnt draft herbert.
  17. yup. nfl games are usually pretty close. one or two lucky plays can make all the difference.
  18. the helmet goes back, and to the left. back and to the left...
  19. the jets and giants will come back to earth. there is no reason why the lions have a worse record than the bears, who are the least talented team in the league and are trading away any talented player they have.
  20. i like dan campbell. i dont think he's getting fired this year. i think he makes good in game decisions about 80% of the time. i think the offense is making the most of their limited personnel. however, the defense is in shambles. i dont think that's campbell's fault, but he's the head coach so the buck stops with him. ultimately he is responsible and if it continues he's going to be out, and should be out. as has been said before, the defense wasnt all that good last year and holmes decided to bring it all back and make no significant upgrades outside the draft. no run stuffing dt, no athletic cornerbacks, no fast linebackers. they brought anzalone back, signed a stiff in mike hughes, and brought in only udfa's up front. and lost probably their best linebacker from last year. if there is a criticism of holmes, its that he brought back a bunch of below average to bad players from last year and only added a bunch of cast off junk players and expected the results to be different.
  21. because the secondary gave up almost 400 yards passing to a qb who cant throw more than 15 yards, and apparently didnt follow the game plan. was campbell's "game plan" thing some cya? possibly. we'll see how it goes in the future, but they were roasted by a noodle armed qb this week and have been bad most of the year.
  22. road game against buffalo should be a decent measuring stick for them. too bad they arent very healthy.
  23. campbell isnt getting fired. not even if they go 1-16 (which they wont).
  24. the guy who touched tucker's head has been banned from the stadium.
  25. hopefully this makes him easier to trade.
