  1. bertuzzi and edvinsson for barzal.
  2. you guys would do the same thing last year: if the rams had a bad game or lost there would be a lot of talk of their demise. stafford's too. and they won the super bowl. as long as stafford, kupp, ramsey, and donald are healthy the rams should be a playoff team. injuries might do them in, but theyre still pretty good.
  3. aj brown caught 10 passes for 155 yards on detroit.
  4. #2 in dvoa? jacksonville #29 in dvoa? LA rams sample size...but still fun.
  5. i trust the dvoa rankings more than pff rankings. not sure why... those are probably the lions' best dvoa rankings in almost a decade. caveat: small sample size.
  6. and what would that list be?
  7. i would add deliberatley tanking towards the end of the season. i dont know how to avoid it other than tying salary to games played - which i dont think will ever happen - or having a league doctor or official clear a player to play and if he doesnt, the team is hurt somehow. be it through the loss of draft picks or salary cap space. there has to be some sort of penalty for the blatant tank jobs ok city has been doing for the last five years. i know the pistons did it too, but ok city has taken it to ridiculous levels. no other sport has the kind of tanking you see in the nba. like if the league doctor clears your player to play, if he fails to play within x amount of days you lose his salary on your cap next year. if it happens with multiple players you lose a second round pick. if it happens two years in a row you lose a first round pick. i know this isnt going to happen, but i dont see many other ways to incentivize teams to compete when they have no hope of making the playoffs.
  8. and that was against kirk cousins under pressure in a big game. that's always been cousins' problem.
  9. but that was mostly against some guy named darius slay, who i was told was terrible and it was a good thing that we traded him...
  10. line is already down to lions +5.5
  11. justin jefferson on will harris. not good, bob.
  12. im sure it was willie horton who told illitch whom to hire.
  13. as long as he fires david chadd, it will be at least a partial success.
  14. lions open +7 against the viqueens. i had place a little number on the lions. i suspect that number goes down after tonight.
  15. one thing never changes: put pressure on cousind and he folds like a cheap suit.
  16. i remember watching a u20 tournament with freddy adu and some kid named messi. life turned out a little different for them.
  17. its a shame he cant sue his father for parental malpractice.
  18. max's review in the atlantic was pretty much the same as i have said before, except he felt cossa did really well (i didnt see cossa today). he wrote that hanas and soderblum were the best players and that soderblum's passing and stick work were top notch. lombardi and kyrill the thrill were small but effective. edvinsson was too languid at times, but showed the offensive upside that make him such a great prospect, but that he's going to need to pick up the tempo if he wants to make the big club this year.
  19. you really have to give the oc and the offense credit. they had 2/5 of an oline and were pulling guys off the practice squad and waivers and they put up 30+ on a decent defense. and a defense whose front 4 is its strength (even if they were missing chase young.) it was a helluva showing.
  20. goff is holding the offense back. i love the idea of jaymo being a game changer, but can goff deliver a good deep ball? he missed a wide open chark yesterday. he seems to have forgotten how to pass the ball accurately deep. despite that, he's played ok. i cant help but think that the offense would be so much better with a guy like lamar or just with a better qb.
  21. zetterburg is probably a better comparison than larkin.
  22. the niners dealt three first round picks to get the qb worse than justin fields.
