  1. if they have another top three pick it MUST be a qb. i hesitate to say this because its the lions, but most teams dont pick top 3 or so very often. you have to grab a qb if he's there. stroud, levis, and young seem to be the consensus 1-2-3. young is too small, levis too untested, and stroud is too buckeye. i really like bryce young, but i feel he's going to get injured in the nfl because he's so small. stroud is the better prospect but can you beat the buckeye out of him? life is easy for stroud at osu, its a little tougher in the nfl (/fields, justin). i dont know enough about levis to say.
  2. the sky isnt falling, its already on the ground. just beat the bears, that's all i want out of this season now.
  3. optimism is for suckers. two years in a row of being bad AND injured. sheesh, lions. hutch is a rookie, so he gets a pass. but if the announcers keep talking about how he's been great in the pass rush because he got three garbage sacks against washington im gonna lose it. he's provided almost nothing in the pass rush so far. again, rookie. i get it. but lets call it like it is. what matt judon did today is a pass rush. hutch hasnt done that all season.
  4. anyone who can rush the passer.
  5. great day saturday! massacred on sunday. 😞
  6. the refs truly were ridiculous. the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty was pathetic amd kept one of their drives alive.
  7. everyone sent down whom we expected to be sent down. except elmer. if sundviskt is out to start the season, elmer gets to stay on the big club. if sundviskt is healthy, elmer goes down. all the other youngsters on the bubble went down today.
  8. pats have one of the best running games and one of the worst passing games in the nfl.
  9. did you watch any of the preseason? i didnt think mcissac was good enough. none of their young defensemen were good enough, imo. they all need to get better. i think they'll go with steady vets for their bottom 3 defensemen to start the season and see who develops. there will be injuries and the youngsters might get called up then. sebrango, viro, mcissac, johannson, edvinsson. all might play nhl games in the next couple years.
  10. mcisaac isnt very good, so i hope not. i'd rather have them keep johannson, even edvinsson would be better. at least he gives you upside.
  11. that was more frustrating than anything else. very sloppy from michigan. lost trente jones to an injury. 10 penalties. refs made a lot of mistakes. they made some adjustments in the second half and put the game out of reach. without the penalties and bad calls its probably 45-7.
  12. theyre trapped alright. trapped in suckitude. how many more minutes until the usual suspects call for harbaugh to be fired? 10? 25?
  13. you can see the difference in the defense from the forechecking. they created a lot of turnovers by aggressively forechecking in the other team's zone. but that worked like a charm against toronto's minor leaguers and chicago (whose whole team is a bunch of minor leaguers), but not as well against washington and pittsburgh. although they played well in a couple of those games too. they look like a better team this preseason. a couple years ago they could barely get the puck out of the zone against some teams, now they look much more effective. veleno looks better. ras looks better. zadina looks better. they have forward depth now. the defense? still shaky, imo. seider is a unicorn, and chairot will do his job. hronek is an nhler, but a bottom of the top 4 guy. maata? same. after that you have guys who arent ready (edvinsson, sebrango, johannson, mcissac, viro) and a bunch of guys who arent very good (hagg, lindstom). goalie should be fine with a more organized defense in front of them. if there is improvement on defense to look forward to, it comes from the forwards, imo.
  14. who does he knock out? erne, smith, and sundkvist are the only choices really.
  15. he also turned the puck over a lot. again. edvinsson is not playing tonight, so they feel they've seen enough. i cant see him being in detroit, but you never know. johannson, sebrango, viro, and mcissac going tonight. good luck against the leafs starters.
  16. i see killian and his "revised shooting mechanics" left off at the same point as last year.
  17. good to see them beat the leafs C team.
  18. how dare you say that on the eve of indigenous people's day. lol.
  19. that seems less than ideal. keeping in mind that most prospect lists are complete crap.
  20. mccarthy is there because he's willing to be jerry jones' lap dog. just like jason garrett was. is sean payton willing to do that? is jerry willing to defer to someone with an even bigger ego than him?
  21. i hated jordan poole when he was at michigan and im a michigan fan. john beilein wasnt a big fan of poole's either. there's just something about him that seems to rub everyone the wrong way. that said, everyone knows draymond is an ass hole. he's been an ass hole forever.
  22. i have him 9th. but again, i should have said position player instead of "hitter."
  23. https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/seravalli-32-bold-predictions-for-the-2021-22-nhl-season/ here are his predictions from last year, which had philly making the playoffs, detroit winning the draft lottery, and the leafs making the eastern conference finals. i dont think larkin is going anywhere.
