so when do we end mask mandates, when covid is completely gone? like 0% covid?
-
first you quoted masks for why indiana is marginally worse than similar states in cases per 100k, then you quoted vax rates as why indiana is marginally worse. all i did was point out based on your criteria that indiana is actually doing better in cases per 100k (which - again - was the measurement that you brought up) than states that have mask mandates and higher vax percentages. i'm just using your own criteria. you just keep moving the goal posts whenever your original point gets undermined by the same statistics you used to make it. we get your point. republicans are stoopid.

its all about risk tolerance at this point. as long as the hospitals arent overwhelmed - and they are not in almost every place - then life should be moving along back to normal as soon as possible. at what point does the mask mandate end? zero covid? at what point do we treat this as a severe flu and get on with our lives?
-
washington vax rate: 70% california: 69% oregon 68% minnesota 67% all with mask mandates. all with higher covid rates than indiana. so im not sure what point youre trying to prove. covid spreads for all sorts of reasons and the mitigation efforts, while sometimes admirable, are oftentimes not that effective. urban v rural, pop density, remote work v factory work, probably have much more effect than a mask mandate.

california, oregon, washington, and minnesota all have mask mandates and have a higher % of cases than indiana. again, perhaps there are other reasons than mask mandates as to how and why a virus spreads? harping on mask mandates to show how indiana is teh stoopidest is silly.
-
it doesnt really effect kids, so im not worried about it with mine. they have to wear masks at school, other than that they dont. the kids go to sleepovers at other kids' houses, they go on play dates. everyone is fine.
-
restaurants and bars and gyms have to show a vax card. everywhere else you have to wear a mask. indoors everyone will have masks on, outdoors is less. i never wear a mask outdoors unless i'm in a crowd of people who have them on, then i'll put on one so people dont feel uncomfortable. but just walking around outside i wont wear one. if im at work i wear one to go into the building or if im in an elevator with other people, but not when im by myself or at my desk. thats silly overkill.

if cade isnt playing, there's no point in watching. -
sorry, you were making fun of indiana. point kind of still stands about california and its mask mandate as opposed to indiana.
-
because when you were making fun of virginia and tiger was talking about indiana's lack of a mask mandate, you said indiana had a higher rate of covid per 100k than virginia so they should have a mask mandate. but california has a mask mandate and has a higher rate per 100k than indiana. so maybe its not the mask mandate (or lack thereof), maybe its something else?
-
it's spelled "More." 😋
-
cause california has higher numbers than indiana. so does washington which has some of the strictest covid regs around. the mere presence of stricter regulations does not diminish the spread of covid. i think that more states that have them tend to be better off than those that dont, but its not a massive difference. lots of this is just luck and seasonality. lets just hope it doesnt come back next flu season.

he has a spot on the radio here every friday morning. trust me, he doesnt know shit. one of my friends texted me after wannstedt said harbaugh had signed a contract with the vikings and told me "you're in luck, harbaugh is definitely not going to the vikings now." and lo and behold...
-
well i actually live in chicago and there are plenty of people walking around here without masks outside. inside you have to wear one so everyone is wearing one. as to vax mandates, you have to show your vax card to get into restaurants and bars and gyms, but they dont always check. we've been to places as a family and just sat down. but most places do, so im told.

dave wannstedt also said harbaugh had a signed contract with minnesota last friday. he also said kansas and iowa state were going to the big ten right after oklahoma and texas jumped to the big 12. dave wannstedt is wrong all the time. he's a dumb ass.

they need to get rid of mask requirements in school altogether. if they want to keep them going for this year to make the unions happy, so be it. but they should be gone next year. no forced quarantines or testing either. if youre sick stay home. if youre not sick, then go to school. lets just hope it keeps mutating down to the point where its nothing to most people (even moreso than now).
-
california has a higher vax rate than indiana and has a strict mask mandate (other than for politicians) and has a higher case rate per 100k than indiana.

Who do you want to replace Harbaugh if he goes to the NFL?
buddha replied to AlaskanTigersFan's topic in College Sports
i want clink to stay, but might want someone else to come in and call the plays. not sure clink is ready.
