  1. it seems paul's greatest talent these days is complaining.
  2. a couple things: they were likely going to go up anyway given the ultra litigious environment in which we live. they did probably increase more because of the payout. they also might have had to pay some money out of their own pockets because the insurer would argue that not all the allegations were covered. msu, osu, psu, and michigan all had big time sexual abuse scandals at their universities in which the people who came forward as victims - and especially their lawyers - got paid a lot of money.
  3. i wonder if the pistons would take a look at chris paul?
  4. those settlements were paid by their insurance companies.
  5. jenkins turned back into jenkins. caris lavert still kind of sucks. ron holland continues to be a disappointment. cade cant save you every night. have teams figured out how to stop the cade to duren pipeline? cade cant save you every night. need more scoring. need ivey to become the guy we were promised with the #5 pick in the draft.
  6. because chicago sucks.
  7. money is not the problem, arrogance is. they assumed that a mormon coach would leave byu, and that jeff brohm - prominant alumni and mr. louisville - would leave his alma mater to jump at the chance to be fired at penn state if he went 10-2. welcome to reality penn state. you missed the boat. have fun with someone's offensive coordinator.
  8. lane kiffin has ALWAYS been this person. if ol miss thought they could actually keep lane kiffin theyre delusional.
  9. who would have thought indiana would replace notre dame as the best football team in the state of indiana?
  10. i wonder if zion will ever care about basketball enough to stop eating burger king and porn stars?
  11. always good to laugh at penn state.
  12. the funny thing about the bulls is that they keep saying how much they miss zach collins. as if zach collins is a guy who is going to turn you from a team scraping to back in to the play in every year to a champion. reminds me of when james edwards iii used to say the pistons really missed isaiah livers...
  13. 79 points in an ot game! you get that in almost one HALF today.
  14. he's praising the pistons' defense when they almost gave up 140 points. take that with a grain of salt. is 140 the new 110?
  15. how many offensive records are going to be broken this year? its like mid 80s regular season games all over again.
  16. and his teammates did nothing. what's the point of having 6'6 guys like rasmussen and soderblom if they play like theyre 5'6? the wings have been pushed around for a decade.
  17. they settled the lawsuit. just like they'll settle the lawsuit all those "injured players" brought because they had to do football hazing. woe is them. they'll never recover and have to live with ptsd for the rest of their days. the important part is that their lawyers will get at least 40% plus costs! anyhoo. fitzgerald is ok, i guess. he turned down michigan before, so sparty fans will hang their hat on that as somehow indicating msu is a better job. he's stuck in the 90s with game theory, but his teams were always fundamentally sound. we'll see if he can develop the "msu mindset" necessary to win there: a single psychotic obsession with michigan.
  18. he wasnt psycho enough for michigan state. i wonder if they try to bring narduzzi back?
  19. they're going to need a lot in the portal. one of harbaugh's biggest strengths was finding 3 and 4 star kids and turning them into first round and secind round nfl defensive linemen. i dont see too many of those in the pipeline.
  20. really good bounce back win. the only good thing to happen in sports this whole turkey day extended weekend.
  21. the bulls have lost three in a row. those three? new orleans, charlotte, and now indiana.
  22. i'm willing to give him a pass because he's a true freshman. next year will be whether you can tell. he's been up and down all year, and was god awful today.
  23. loser point is better than nothing.
  24. michigan played three good teams all year and got dominated by each of them. they were extremely lucky to play such an easy schedule or they would have seen a repeat of last year. or worse. next year they wont be so lucky. and they are likely to lose a lot of their best players on defense, a defense that was poor against any offense with a pulse. ive never been a fan of sherrone moore. he was too inexperienced to get this job and lucked into it by being able to hang around jim harbaugh for a few years and be in the right place at a time when michigan had no viable alternatives. but he's shown nothing to indicate he can be the leader of an elite program. next year is likely going to be another 3-4 loss season. it will be the year after that when moore coaches for his job. if they arent in the playoff mix in 2 years, he'll likely be fired. a below .500 record next year (and with their schedule, its possible: osu, oregon, oklahoma, penn state, and indiana all on the sked) is on the table. i know there was going to be some rebuilding after harbaugh left town, but they'll need to show some progress next year for me to believe he can build a real program and not just a mediocre one. step one: fire wink and hire a good college defensive coordinator.
