this year is a write off, next year is the key. that's when you'll have significant cap space, that's when seider and raymond enter their prime and you have the ability to fill key depth roles with up and coming players on ELCs: edvinsson, danielson, kasper, cossa, wallinder/johannson/tuomisto, mazur.
after this year you have two more years of copp and chairot and the buy outs dont look so terrible.
you have a market with heiskennen and marner.
you're likely to have a nice, high pick after this year.
