its the hope that will kill you.

stevie was testy and not all engaged at the presser. i assume part of that is his disdain for the press and his obvious competitive nature leading to a hatred of being questioned by folks he doesnt respect. but i also detect a hint of "i dont know if i want to do this anymore" in his vibe. could be wrong, but it seemed to be hovering on the edges a bit. other information from the presser: they dont sound all that pleased with cossa's progress. tuomisto needs to get faster? ummm...he's not going anywhere, wallinder has a better shot. danielson and the others need to show out in these playoffs to be on the "kasper track". his comments on tarasenko and gustafsson were depressing. kane is likely coming back.

almost anything is better than what they have now. if it werent a tv moneymaker, i would hope they would just ditch it. its ridiculously boring now. the int'l v usa is really the only way to try to put something they care about back in the game. i doubt the american players will care, but the others might.

if the miami heat had any actual fans they'd probably be really pissed.
-
we should know on hooker this preseason because were going to see a ton of him. manu might be at least another year.

heat culture.

back to football... when brad misses, he seems to miss when he goes WAY off board. martin, sorsdal, and maybe manu (too early to tell) and he trades up to do it teslaa fits that mold. just sayin. we'll see. overall, i think brad holmes has been one of the best team builders in the nfl. he deserves all the benefits of all the doubts. but he's not infallible. that said, i love the first and second rounders. i hate hate hate the trade up for a guy that was slotted 100+ picks later.

paschal and levi will be spending considerable time at edge next year.
-
achilles. lillard makes $54m next year and $58m the year after that. have fun in the play-in game next year milwaukee!
-
like miami amd cleveland. does anyone care?
-
nobody cares about memphis or okc. they want gsw on in prime slots as much as they can.
-
first two picks will play right away. everyone else is a project or a crapshoot. lions drafted guys at every position of need, hopefully they get a few guys out of it.
-
inagine saying two years ago that kalel mullings will be drafted before donovan edwards. dont stay in school, kids.
-
a starter? maybe. i mean....its cleveland. jameis winston and johnny manziel were technically starters. so was mitch trubisky in year 3. i dont think he'll end up being a good qb.
-
and that is why the cleveland browns are a bad organization. shedeur sanders learning at the feet of deshaun watson.
-
true...but then the attention would be on shedeur/deion and not jerry. jerry wouldnt like that.
-
future president stephen a smith compared him to colin kapernick already. race hustlers gonna race hustle. the only cause shedeur sanders stood for is himself. which is why he didnt get drafted. this guy has thrown his teammates under the bus as many times as he's thrown td passes. someone will take him early in round 4.

what team is bringing in a guy like that to be a backup qb? a guy who is there to hold a clipboard and run the practice squad? a guy who has to have no ego and be able to do whatever the team asks of him? mr. "legendary"? i would argue it would need to be a team like the lions, or the ravens, or the steelers, teams with established qbs, head coaches, and cultures. to get him to stfu and work or get cut. you put him on the browns or the bears or the jets or the jags and he'll divide your team, be a distraction, and collapse everything. but he'll be in the news every day. to some teams that's important.

kiper is as mad about sheduer as he was when the colts dared to take trev alberts over trent dilfer.
