1-1 after 2.
edvinsson is really really good.
kasper playing well too. good to see the youth playing so well. actually gives me a little hope for the future.
zadorov gets called for slashing and then blatantly cross checks raymond in the back in front of everyone and they dont call the cross check?
what the actual **** was that?
nhl refs are bitches.
great tip by kasper (although i'm not sure he knew anything about it) and its 2-1.
and its overruled because ERIC GUSTAFSON'S DUMB ASS WAS OFFSIDES.
he really is becoming my least favorite red wing.
i dont really care for lalonde, but in his defense, what do you exoect a guy to do when you have justin holl, jeff petry, eric gustafson, and ben chiarot on defense?
its so frustrating to watch this team try to do simple things like bring the puck out of their own zone. in back to back instances chiarot tries to pass to center but it goes off a wide open red wings' stick and out of play. the next time gufstafson tries to clear off his own board and it goes all the way down for icing.
so infuriating they cant even do the little things.
zion would get the usual 5 first rounders/pick swaps that most star players get.
there is no way i would make that trade but it wouldnt surprise me if some team did. if he were actually on the block.
wings come out dominating the third period. outshooting them 9-0. scored two goals. one a garbage in front goal from rasmussen (which is what he should be doing every game) and the other a very pretty goal by tarasenko on a nice rush by kasper and a good pass from berggren.
wings playing (and losing) a matinee today.
gave up two power play goals. seider had a very bad second period. edvinsson loses the puck and fischer botches his covering responsibility and vancouver scores their 3rd on a two on one.
3-2 after 2.
talbot got hurt in the second. husso in. husso made some nice saves until giving up the 3rd goal.
kasper looks active, as usual. larkin looks a bit off. kind of like he's looked all season. still good, still scoring and making plays, but he just looks a beat behind this year.
i think there's a better chance that Day quits than he's fired. i dont know if he really wants that job anymore. he's got a ton of money and may not want the aggravation and stress of being osu head coach. he could negotiate a lesser buyout and go be a pro coordinator somewhere.
i would be shocked if osu ponied up $37m to make him go away with no obvious successor in place.
Jiricek traded to minnesota for a dman, a conditional first, a second, a third and a fourth (spaced out over the next 3 drafts).
i would never make that deal if i'm detroit.
