I feel this in my bones. Mine died at the end of last year, & because I had 1,000s of dollars in car repairs over the summer, I decided to buy one new (to me) on FB marketplace. Got an Ariens, which worked fabulously Saturday & Sunday when we got about 8" in Gaylord. Got a little overnite & went to use it this morning - wheels are frozen up. Can't put it in gear either forward or backwards, & the wheels won't rotate at all to be able to move it. Got someone coming over tomorrow & I know it's not a new one, but it's just one of those things - why can't something go smoothly for freakin' once?

If the Giants go QB, I'd take a flyer on Daniel Jones over Goff. At least the kid can run & thus avoid pressure.

Nelson was remarkable yesterday. Sewell had, I think, his best game as a pro. Decker was okay coming back from injury, but Goff, as you said, is a statue. Almost as bad as Goff, is that this team repeatedly shoots itself in the foot. Goff FINALLY completes a pass, gets us inside the 30 - Holding, which backs us up 10 yards, making it a 49 yarder instead of 39. Obviously with the duck he floated up there it wouldn't have mattered, but who's to say that would have happened at a different spot in the field.

I agree with you .. we are not. This is exactly why I never wanted a playoff system, but it's had the unexpected consequence (at least to me) that I wouldn't even care anymore after 1 loss. I remember after losing the jug in `86 I think, I was all in ready to watch them next week & root. Now, it feels like all hope is lost. I hate that.

You've hit on my biggest problem with the NCAA. There is no consistent expectation, across the board, for the importance of academics. Every school decides how much they're willing to pay in fines .. the penalties should be a bigger deterrent.

I don't mean this politically, but the competition angle from the players is most assuredly a product of the player's union, which fights tooth & nail for salaries to continue to climb.
