  1. I am so happy for this girl. Lucy will be 13 in a month, but for most of this year she has really been noticeably slowing down. At her regular vet checkup in May she got a clean bill of help, but she was still just struggling - I attributed it to age. In June, she broke some blood vessels in her ear, scratching it because of an infection & had to have surgery. The vet prescribed an antibiotic, & after finishing it this week she is like a new dog! Jumping, playing again, & she has that bright look back in her eyes. We figure she might have had a UTI or something that went undiagnosed, & the antibiotic knocked it out.
  2. I won like $11 on the milk class-action, but it took 8 years to get it - & they paid me with an online credit card that I couldn't access.
  3. Thoroughly disappointed that it took me 3 guesses to get today's
  4. Okudah may be considered a bust now, but if he stays healthy this year I think he'll surprise some people. It's a different scheme than when he was a rookie & will not require of him what Patricia did. Add to that what we expect will be an improved pass rush & he may surprise some people.
  5. I could watch videos like that all day. I'm really excited about the direction of this organization & the kind of players they're bringing in.
  6. I can't eat a steak any less done than medium. I can do a burger medium well, but I don't get the rare steak love. That's why I can't stand prime rib.
  7. We were fortunate. We're on the south end of town & our subdivision never lost power. It has been nice to see the way people have come together. It is possible if you leave your agenda outside.
  8. Here's a link to an album my wife made of the tornado last Friday here in Gaylord, & a few from the next day at our church - which acted as a Red Cross/United Way hub for the community to get help. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Lt87rkadif2ESB2NA
  9. Based on his performance last year. In a new system, with an OC that he did not gel with. He was a different QB at the end of the year. I'm not predicting great things, I just would not be surprised to see him look better.
  10. When you consider those other factors, Ragnow, new OC, plus Jameson when he's healthy, Goff will almost certainly look better.
  11. I didn't get to watch much this year - but I did follow the team. I am a complete novice when it comes to evaluating talent, but when I hear about taking someone with "upside" in the top 5, my mind automatically goes to Darko, which put this organization in a hole it still hasn't come out of. Tell my why Sharpe is different?
  12. I've been glad to watch the Lions build this team up instead of reaching on a QB. Way too many other holes & depth needed. All of the earlier talk about Zach Wilson & Trevor Lawrence being able to take a step forward - why is it not possible for Goff to do the same, in year 2 in this system? I'm not expecting him to be Rodgers or Mahomes, but with a good OL, & decent running game, and perhaps most importantly a coaching staff that builds him up, I think he could take a big step forward.
  13. I go to the insurance company's website to make a policy change. It brings up a page that says "To change your policy, call XXX-XXX-XXXX. So I call XXX-XXX-XXXX. It's automated, of course. & when I say "change policy" it says "Thank you. All of this is now done on our website, or thru our mobile app." So I tried it on the app - & the app says "Call XXX-XXX-XXXX." 🤬
  14. I mentioned earlier that I'm a little worried about Hutch's performance in the Orange Bowl. Virtually no pressures at all - but I do think he's a culture fit with the Lions, & I believe this coaching staff will get the most out of his talent.
  15. That's an intriguing idea. I have questions about all of the Edge rushers. I'd take Hutch if he's there, but even then his Orange Bowl was less than stellar. If he can't get pressure against Georgia how's he gonna handle the NFL? I may be making too much of that, but it may end up being moot anyway if the Jags take him. Neal may be the best talent, regardless of position, & would check the box of Day 1 starter.
  16. That's not bad .. I was always a little nervous about vibrating razor blades, though! This is exactly where I'm at. I tried Harry's as well & got the WORST slice I've ever had. Worse yet, I was in a hotel room. I'm surprised they didn't call the cops with all the blood on those towels. DSC has been great for 5-6 years, but lately it's gone down .. thus my dilemma.
  17. In the span of 15 minutes on Saturday, I saw articles titled "Hutchinson back in play for the Lions at #2" and "Hutchinson once again with the best odds to go #1 overall."
  18. I contemplated putting this in the consumer review thread, but I thought maybe having its own name would get more feedback. I have been shaving my head for roughly 10 years. The best results I've had were with a Gillette Fusion, but it got to a point that I just couldn't bring myself to spend $20-$25 for 4 razor blades - even if I did stretch them for a couple weeks. I switched to Dollar Shave Club, which has been fabulous until recently. I don't know if the blades have changed, or if I'm just getting more reckless, but I've nicked myself about a half dozen times pretty good & finding good kut kits is next to impossible. So for the first time I'm thinking about getting an electric shaver. Anybody have any experience in this area, before I bleed to death?
  19. Thank you for that - It just took me 1/2 an hour to guess RADIO, which I've been doing for a living for 33 years!
  20. Don't know if you've all seen this .. AntiWordle. Trying to last as long as you can WITHOUT guessing it. Antiwordle #64 4 guesses ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ 🟨⬛⬛⬛⬛ ⬛🟥🟥⬛⬛ 🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥
