I said this before, Petzold should separate himself from associating with this guy. Someone on this board labeled him a ‘blowhard.’ I think that is as an accurate and concise definition of him as you’ll get. Some of his information can be interesting but he’s his own worst enemy through his delivery and overall demeanor. I enjoy Evan’s take on things.

I totally understand your frustration. For what it’s worth, I wear a Tiger hat just about every time I go out the door. Win or lose, that Old English D never loses its appeal. I may not be able to sit through their garbage production on the field, but I’ll not retire the hat.

As a Tigers fan, there are two events a year that there remains some semblance of optimism in the air, the draft and the trade deadline. Harris ruined one of the two days I can still get excited about. After ERod’s shenanigans last year I was looking forward to him moving on. The organization has a bad look after today.

Gotta believe this entire deal collapsed this afternoon. Why would Harris stay quiet about it if it fell through days ago? At this point it is a very bad look for him. Had it happened days ago, he’d have had time to go in another direction. So today’s haul is a High A minor leaguer.

It’s a shame Harris hadn’t been informed of his desire to stay on the east coast. 🙄

Don’t recall if you’ve been to Harbor Park in Norfolk: My wife and I traversed to Norfolk for a couple of games in May (before it got too hot) to see the Bulls/Tides and Harbor Park. As Jim would say, Nice area. However, I was disappointed in the park. I guess I’ve been spoiled by the DBAP in Durham. One of the starters for Durham when we were there was Elvis Rodriquez, of Tiger fame a year ago. I’m considering a trip to see Salem during their last series at home this year, maybe a game or two. The Carolina Mudcats are there then. That will check the last box for having attended all current affiliated parks in Virginia.
