Both sides are guilty of incivilities.

Tarik Skubal versus Lucas Giolito in tonight’s ballgame. -
https://news.yahoo.com/emmett-till-protesters-stormed-senior-112133914.html Not really sure where to put this. This story broke about a week ago and is extremely newsworthy. Google it further to read more. The wife of one of the men that murdered Emmitt Till in 1955 apparently has been located in a retirement facility in Raleigh, NC. The warrant for her arrest was discovered very recently in Mississippi. I would guess it had been hidden at some point but don’t actually know that. She is 87 or 88 years old now. It is believed that she is the one that pointed Emmitt out to her husband and his brother, that eventually led to his murder.

With attitudes like yours, nothing will ever change. You’re so full of grievances you can’t find an ounce of objectiveness.

My point stands. The political culture here is poisonous at most every level. Laugh if that helps. It IS both sides. Maxine Waters literally directs people to get in the faces of people that have have opposing political views and Trump has his January 6th trophy to show off. These morons are not fit to serve. And of course, they are not the only players in this juvenile behavior. It is not only tolerated but it is applauded. This isn’t about choosing sides. Defending either side of this is wrong. The killer of Abe, at last glance, denied his motive was political. I doubt that’s true but we’ll find out in time.

I 2nd that motion. -
The overriding difference is the glaring difference in the two cultures. From a strictly political perspective, our politicians on both ends of the spectrum suggest and encourage…and condone…violence against anyone that disagrees with his or her point of view, what more can be expected. So, have our politicians created this societal jungle, or has the societal jungle created out politicians? I imagine someone above my pay grade could give a qualified answer to that.

Two points: The first being that if someone is determined to take another person’s life they will likely find a way to do it. It may take awhile, but if the hate is strong enough….Hate is hate. Secondly, the assassin in this case literally had to build this weapon with whatever he could get his hands on, a tape job to say the least. Although this person succeeded in taking Abe’s life, it wasn’t as easy as going to your local 5 & 10 store and buying a weapon that could take out a classroom full of kids. So from this perspective, even in light of this tragedy, a sober person can argue that gun regulations do make a difference. just my humble opinion.

Sale should stick to cutting up jerseys.

There are a total of 14 games on the calendar, including two doubleheaders before another home stand. The AS Break and then flying out to Oakland for a single day, and that being a doubleheader is weird.

To this point, I want to reiterate, my comments above are not based on a personal dislike of the player. I sincerely hope that there are no serious issues at play here, health or otherwise. I assume when the Tigers say they can’t reach him that his agent is the go between. I would think the agent would know his circumstances beyond what the org is privy to.

With this season pretty much a washout at this point, I would be very happy if the Tigers could part ways with this guy and terminate the contract. I’d much rather have the money than the player. I know these contracts are full of stipulations and ‘what ifs’ but if the Tigers could possible be free of this contract after this year it would be great. I have zero idea what’s going on with the guy and my preference as stated above is totally about the money and the future of the team. The Tigers should have an ERod Bobblehead day. When the fans come through the gates they get…nothing.

I listened to one of the DH games and that’s what the Cleveland radio guy was saying when they were down in that game.

I’m trying to not let this team sucker me into raising my expectations. But I sure do hope they keep trying. This sweep is entirely out of nowhere.

There has to be an option to void this contract if the player leaves the team and does not respond when inquired upon. I would be happy to see this contract terminated.

This just in, there is going to be a national shortage on popcorn.

We monitor 30 year fixed mortgage rates through Wells Fargo. Staying with one source provides a consistent and single source to go on. Since the middle of June their 30 year fixed mortgage has gone from 6% to 4.875% this morning. Fed minutes this afternoon will definitely be interesting. The 10 year benchmark was under 2.8% earlier today.

It has all devolved into hyper bullshit.

I saw Sam Howard pitch for the Low A Asheville Tourists (Colorado Rockies) several years ago. He pitched a really good game in Asheville that day. I shook the young man’s hand after the game and commended him on his effort. Hope he lands a spot somewhere.

No home runs!?! Manfred would be disappointed. They’ll need to fix that.

I’m listening to the Cleveland audio because it is current with the game play. The Tigers audio is so freakin’ far behind play it is ridiculous!
