  1. Actually, I did. Maybe not the answer you wanted.
  2. This was my comment yesterday…. “Generally speaking, perhaps not. I don’t know if Walker has ever outright denied the existence of the son or not. I doubt it to behonest. If he has, that would be the deal breaker for me.” Additionally, based on what has been posted here recently regarding Walker’s past, I don’t condone that level of negligence or irresponsibility. Yes, it is hypocrisy in the purist form. Any other questions?
  3. “…creating four separate childless homes.” Interesting.
  4. I know very little about Walker. Your point about “four such homes” is news to me.
  5. I totally agree and said as much yesterday. He has done everything possible to prove himself a failure at his job and is more secure than most of his peers. Very frustrating as a fan.
  6. Apparently there is some buzz that Fetter might be the guy for the UM head coaching job with Bakich gone. Couldn’t blame Fetter for leaving.
  7. I wonder, why hasn’t the sports media around Michigan turned the heat up on this crappy organization? Do they give a crap? Am I missing something?
  8. Generally speaking, perhaps not. I don’t know if Walker has ever outright denied the existence of the son or not. I doubt it to be honest. If he has, that would be the deal breaker for me.
  9. Herschel Walker, the Republican Senate nominee in Georgia who has been a vocal critic of absentee fathers in Black households, acknowledged Tuesday that he has a second son with whom he has little interaction. The twitter post on this thread two hours ago would imply he hasn’t acknowledged the son. So, as reported in several media outlets, he now has. Of course, it was for political reasons. I’m fully aware of that and the fact that had he not been running for office he likely would never have spoken up.
  10. I have literally given up on this franchise as long as Illitch and Avila are a part of the picture. I believe, and have for quite some time, that Avila isn’t a MLB GM. Illitch doesn’t give a crap about this team. I still believe Avila has Chris believing that the sun will rise any day now so he rolls along unconcerned. It’s. All. Bad.
  11. Is this another ‘What About’ venture? This started out with a specific article about a specific topic. That didn’t last long. Any comment on the Biden piece? Have you read either link posted, including the CNN link?
  12. It was important enough for you to express your opinion on it earlier.
  13. Am I to understand you’re avoiding the substance of the above article. 😉
  14. I read the article you referred to on the Washington Examiner. Did you read the article or blow it off because of the source? Interesting piece. Hunter’s lawyers aren’t responding to requests to discuss it which may mean nothing but lawyers are usually about defending a client if the allegations are false. Much of the article is very specific with times, dates, and names. Point being, if this article is a fabricated attempt to slander Hunter Biden, I would guess they are leaving themselves wide open to a law suit. Interesting.
  15. Bakich rolled out a suggestion in 2019 I believe it was that made a lot of sense. With Covid everything stopped and that was that. His suggestion was to move the start of college baseball back a month as I recall. I thought that was a doable suggestion that would benefit all teams, particularly teams in the north. I don’t think his proposal ever got a hearing. My brother-in-law is a Clemson grad that still lives in the area. He has followed this search for a coach very closely. Clemson is elated to get their guy.
  16. I’m expecting a 75 bps now. There has been so much conversation about the 75bps option that I wouldn’t consider it as an unexpected move at this point. A week ago, yes. I believe the Fed may be apprehensive in a full point move today in that it hasn’t been in the discussion for June. Retail sales declined 0.3% in May, fwiw. No surprise there.
  17. I’d love to eavesdrop on one of their off line conversations about this current mess.
  18. Robot GMs
  19. It’s ridiculous. I don’t remember this being the case before this year.
  20. Now we’re talking 🍷
  21. Thirty year fixed mortgage rates are above 6% now.
  22. I firmly believe that if Greene had been healthy and started the season in Detroit it would have been a plus for he as well as Tork. These guys have been the talk of Motown for more than a year now and they have spent a fair amount of time together in the minors. I think they would have been a great support for each other when one or the other struggled. I am anxious to see if Tork relaxes a bit when Greene arrives as the spotlight will be on Riley at that point. Just me thinking out loud…
  23. Screwball, good story. I’ve known a couple of Edward Jones’ branch managers over the years. Two of them ended up being hired by banks overseeing financial planning for their customers. Unless things have changed, they only offer funds that carry a load. They are, more or less, window shops for different investment firms.
  24. WSJ just dropped this piece: A string of troubling inflation reports is likely to lead Fed officials to consider surprising markets with a larger-than-expected interest-rate increase at their meeting this week. We shall see.
