The twitter post on this thread two hours ago would imply he hasn’t acknowledged the son. So, as reported in several media outlets, he now has. Of course, it was for political reasons. I’m fully aware of that and the fact that had he not been running for office he likely would never have spoken up.

I have literally given up on this franchise as long as Illitch and Avila are a part of the picture. I believe, and have for quite some time, that Avila isn’t a MLB GM. I read the article you referred to on the Washington Examiner. Did you read the article or blow it off because of the source? Interesting piece. Hunter’s lawyers aren’t responding to requests to discuss it which may mean nothing but lawyers are usually about defending a client if the allegations are false. Much of the article is very specific with times, dates, and names. Point being, if this article is a fabricated attempt to slander Hunter Biden, I would guess they are leaving themselves wide open to a law suit. Interesting.

Bakich rolled out a suggestion in 2019 I believe it was that made a lot of sense. With Covid everything stopped and that was that. His suggestion was to move the start of college baseball back a month as I recall. I thought that was a doable suggestion that would benefit all teams, particularly teams in the north. I don’t think his proposal ever got a hearing. My brother-in-law is a Clemson grad that still lives in the area. He has followed this search for a coach very closely. Clemson is elated to get their guy.

I’m expecting a 75 bps now. There has been so much conversation about the 75bps option that I wouldn’t consider it as an unexpected move at this point. A week ago, yes. I believe the Fed may be apprehensive in a full point move today in that it hasn’t been in the discussion for June. Retail sales declined 0.3% in May, fwiw. No surprise there.

I firmly believe that if Greene had been healthy and started the season in Detroit it would have been a plus for he as well as Tork. These guys have been the talk of Motown for more than a year now and they have spent a fair amount of time together in the minors. I think they would have been a great support for each other when one or the other struggled. I am anxious to see if Tork relaxes a bit when Greene arrives as the spotlight will be on Riley at that point. Just me thinking out loud…

I believe they’ll stay with 50 basis points this week. I would be surprised if they went 75 bps without telegraphing that big a move. But, I would not bet against it right now. Barring a big change somewhere, I would consider 75 bps a lock for July. Mortgage rates are spiking. The real estate picture should be an interesting one to watch going forward.

Today is shaping up to be an entertaining one. Yields are going up and futures are going down. Treasury inversion is suggesting a recession. Good times.

Thank you for commenting on this. I only stream audio and don’t follow on TV. However, it’s not unusual for me to casually check the boxscore for specifics during the game, including what the current count might be on a hitter. Sometimes the audio is as many as three pitches behind the live action. Also, it is not unusual for the audio to literally repeat itself several times during a game. Weird. I knew something was screwed up but didn’t know anyone else had experienced this issue. Oddly enough, I haven’t noticed as this issue as much from others teams audio feed. Maybe I’m not paying as much attention?
