Baseball-Reference has a good group of people. They take their jobs seriously, but don't take themselves seriously. When I used to do more research online, they were one of the most accomodating sites to work with.

I think it's pretty obvious that Trump knew what was going to happen on January 6 and that he encouraged it. I don't know if that's enough legally or whether they can sufficiently prove it, but it's enough for me. It's even more obvious that he tried to overturn the election. He said he was going to do it and he broadcasted it as he did it. He is 100% guilty.

Biden is not the king. You are giving him too much credit. This is a capitalist nation.

I don't think he is necssarily letting him off the hook. He and others still should be prosecuted regardless of his motivation.

If he had lost in 2016, I am pretty sure he would have claimed that the election was stolen then too. He wouldn't have had any power to do anything about it, but he would have talked about it for four years.

Most politicians in both parties are dishonest and self serving and I don't like them. I think that a lot of them do have a genuine interest in law and policy, so you kind of block out the noise and listen to their views even though they are not sincere in their intentions. Trump doesn't even have that going for him.

I get that people hate the establishment. I don't really like it either. So, I understand the anti-establishment vote. It is just amazing to me that so many think he is on their side and believe everything stupid self centered thing he tells them.

I actually don't think he is uniquely evil. He is uniquely uniquely crazy and narcissistic and amazingly ignorant about policy issues. I don't however believe he has ambitions to end the American Republican. Every bad thing he says or does is about him. More disturbing than Trump is the hold he has on his followers.

Trump didn't do anything good and even if you think he did, it all gets cancelled out by the unforgivable stuff he did at the end. There is no way you can just overlook what he did at the end and pretend that he was a good president. You just can't. And even if you hate liberals so much that you are OK with him trying to overturn an election, how can you possibly defend his throwing his way too loyal Vice President under the bus at the end? He's just an utter disgrace and deserves every bit of vitriol coming his way. And I do consider you a Trump supporter because you keep defending him over and olver.

It's just the opposite. It's you guys that have Trump Derangement Syndrome for worshipping him unconditionally even though he has disgraced himself over and over.

I also think he could be pretending to be a champion of free speech to get more MAGAs interested in electric cars. They've been conned before. Why not try it again?

I remember when you were one of the more liberal posters on the board. I think some people went away when all the Detroit sports teams started to suck. Others became more liberal when the Republican party became batshit crazy under Trump.

The game is not slower because of gambling. The suggestion was that owners might not push as hard for faster paced games if they found it wasn't beneficial for gambling. There is no doubt that gamblers have become the big new target audience. It is possible that gamblers don't care about the pace of the game though.

Police reform is not a radical idea like defunding the police. I think there are many centered Democrats who would like to make reforms to law enforcement. I don't think any reasonable person wants to actually defund the police which is what conservatives imply when mocking liberals.

Why are MAGAs so giddy about Elon Musk potentially buying Twitter? He's not a MAGA supporter or some champion of "free speech". If he took over Twitter, he would make decisions which mazimized his profits. That's all it is.
