  1. These networks have criticized Trump, but have also normalized his behavior. They want to make sure he stays around because his stupid, outrageous quotes and behavior are worth millions to him.
  2. Scott Harris continues to be a high roller.
  3. Maybe Ronz should start hanging with your friends. 😄
  4. Just a dozen?
  5. I really hope you're right, but I've been hearing the same thing for 8 years. There is no way in hell that Biden or any other Democratic nominee will be up by double digits in the polls. We can only hope they can whittle away the deficit in a few swing states. Don't expect any help from the media. They love Trump and will continue to normalize his behavior through election day.
  6. They've had 40+ years to catch on. I doubt the light will suddenly go on now. I was just reading about Project 25 and I don't see it as being any more outrageous than the outrageous stuff that has come out the last 8 years. As long as the media keeps normalizing Trump and the Democratic leaders continue not to convincingly communicate the dangers of a Trump presidency, I don't see anything changing. I think our only chance is that Trump says something so shocking or a tape is revealed of him saying something so shocking that people have to pay attention. Americns are shallow, so the message needs to be shallow unfortunately.
  7. The ideas about "Project 25" have already come out, but the Democrats are doing a poor job articulating exactly how our democracy is in peril. Are we exprecting Biden to be able to do that? So far, they don't sound any different than conservatives raving about socialism taking over America.
  8. He rarely sounds "good" anymore, so I wouldn't expect this interview to change any opinions. All I heard was a few clips. There were no serious errors, but he mumbled, sounded like an old man. That's the best you'll usually get from him now.
  9. Colt Keith turning the corner.
  10. Because you can never ever have too much pitching! It's one of the only tired old cliches rings true pretty much every time.
  11. I don't believe Chas has made a habit of that.
  12. That might say as much about Leyland and Anderson as it does about the Astros front office.
  13. I don't disagree, but some cheating is accepted (not saying it should be) and is largely overlooked. Hinch was not OK with the Astros cheating (or so he said) and it happened anyway. So, it seems like he was either dishonest or not respected enough. Personally, I think Hinch is a good manager overall and I am willing to forget what happened in Houston, but it's still not a good look on his past record.
  14. This does not apply to any player in particular, but I found it amusing.
  15. The question I have about Hinch is he supposedly didn't want them to cheat and they cheated anyway. That makes him seem like a weak leader. And I know everybody is going to tell me there was nothing he could do about it. I understand that sentiment, but it's still difficult to see that happening to Leyland or Anderson.
  16. I have a friend who thinks that Trump is terrible and he voted for Biden in 2020. He told me today that he can no longer vote for Biden because of his mental state. I would bet that there are many like him.
  17. He didn't really have a position with the Tigers but it's pretty close between LF and 2B. If I listed him as a LF, he'd probably be #3 behind Veach and Horton. One thing that's tricky in ranking multi-position players is figuring out how to score his defense as a second baseman who played left field or a left fielder who played second base. If I say he's a left fielder, do I give him credit for second base defense in comparing him to Higginson? The same problem happens at second base.
  18. When I did all-time top tens for the Tigers, it was hard to figure out where to put Phillips, but I settled on second base because I thought of him as an infielder and I believe he would have played second if not for Whitaker. I ranked him #4 behind Gehringer, Whitaker and McAuliffe.
  19. I was referring to Fryman.
  20. What if he's never ready? He is certainly a strong prospect, but a lot of stuff happens on the way to being an MLB regular.
  21. It is their weakest position. It's either him or Kell.
  22. It is pretty obvious that the media is now in it for money only. They want to normalize Trump's psychopathy because it's worth big money to him.
  23. Well, he did strikeout 8 straight batters!
  24. He'll have to raise his walk rate if he is going to get on base at a .340 clip. He has just 15 walks in 250 PA. He has shown very little power either, but I think that will come later.
