  1. I re-watched the game last night and I didn’t realize that the 30+ consecutive runs wasn’t exactly organic. Moore didn’t say “we aren’t going to pass”, in fact there were three pass plays called in that sequence. One JJ took off when coverage was solid, one screen never got off because of a timeout, and one deep shot got called for DPI. The headline of so many consecutive runs would make you think the pass was abandoned but it’s really just how it turned out.
  2. I just looked the game up and the hilarity of this sequence of events to end the game is just too much. - This was Matt Prater's Lions debut and first Lions kick after he was released by Denver. The Lions had not made a kick from 40+ yards yet that season. - Nonsensical defensive holding penalty was called to move the Lions five yards closer. - The delay of game happened in the first place because Prater wanted one more practice kick. - I don't think it actually was delay of game, it looked like they snapped it as the clock hit zero.... Complete opposite of the Ravens game last year. - They put this graphic that definitely wasn't foreboding bad things to come for the Falcons on TV after the Lions made the re-do.
  3. I remember a Lions-Falcons game in London a few years back where almost the exact same thing happened. Prater came out for the game winning kick and missed it, but the Lions own ineptitude led to a delay of game penalty being called before the kick. Backed him up five yards and, naturally, he drilled it.
  4. LOL Bills. Yeah, McDermott's seat is warm.
  5. Might need to add Sean McDermott to this list if the Bills drop to 5-5 on national television at home against the Broncos.
  6. This. He was DROY candidate before that injury and hasn’t been nearly as explosive since. Nobody is really 100% in week eleven, it could be that it’s lingered and is just taking a little bit off of his explosiveness.
  7. Can’t believe Kanye didn’t interrupt to say that The Wild Thornberries movie was the greatest sound track of all time.
  8. Expecting 5-0 is probably unfair. Winning six in a row, with three on the road, is just hard in the NFL, even for the best of the best. I do think expecting 4-1 is fair though and 5-0 is realistic. 4-1 puts us at 11-3. No complaints there!
  9. Santa Ono in a goatee and shades
  10. I don’t think it matters. The Bears aren’t good. Fields is better but just because he is more mobile.
  11. I was tongue-in-cheek about not playing against Maryland. That would never happen, it would just lead to Michigan getting in even deeper **** with the conference. I do think if Michigan is 12-0 they should leak discussions (even if not legitimate) that they are considering not playing in the B1G Championship. Let FOX sweat about losing that audience and let Petitti take those calls from network executives. Then send his calls to voicemail. If they really want to layer it on, cite concerns for player safety like MSU did. A 12-0 Michigan team that hilariously forfeited the B1G Championship Game in protest would still go to the Playoff and would still raise banners in Glick. It wouldn't happen, but it would be funny. Watching Harbaugh take the B1G Championship Trophy (or refuse to do so) from Tony Petitti would be must-watch television though.

  13. So they should refuse to play as a middle finger to the B1G? No TV money for anybody off that game.
  14. In fairness if anyone sought to give Jamo a $68.5MM contract right now I would seek to have them committed.
  15. To be clear (I wasn’t in my original post), I’m NOT giving up on him. What I meant by adjusting expectations is that we shouldn’t say “he had two catches for 18 yards, another big play called back, and a huge block, but I’m not happy about that because he was a 12th overall pick” Who cares where he was drafted, he’s contributing and helping us win games. I agree that he has not tapped his full potential. I really don’t think he’s all that close. I think as he and Goff continue to be on the field at the same time, his usage will increase.
  16. I haven’t accepted Jamo as a “bad pick” but I do think we need to adjust our expectations. Yesterday, he played a role in us going to 7-2. I just can’t complain about that. Did Holmes probably hope for more when he drafted him? Yes. But at the end of the day everyone has a job to do, and he’s doing his. That block yesterday was masterful. I think as much has to do with Jami as it has to do with the Jamo/Goff chemistry. I think if Jamo was getting ten targets per game he’d be thought of much higher. For whatever reason he’s just not one of Goff’s primary looks.
  17. Dan Campbell is now 1-1-1 in his first three games out of the bye as a head coach. How many can say that??
  18. I think it was combination injury and being new to town. Give him another week to get up to speed before putting him in there.
  19. There is zero chance he leaves. I doubt he even answers the call.
  20. Say what you will about Patterson (I know I say a lot) but he is money from short range. In my dream of him trotting out for a game winning kick in the NFC title game, I think he’s money. Pressure won’t get to him.
  21. Good win today. Damn good win. Defense can’t suck this hard on a regular basis, but they probably won’t.
