  7. isn't that part of the plot of The Matrix?

  9. Biden Impeachment started on the left. Sincerely Cucker Tarlson
  10. I think this is worse than indifference, it's cruel and inhumane. Maybe most of them knew it was going to pass so were ok with voting against it IDK but I'm admittedly biased and refuse to give them the benefit of the doubt b/c I'm not a dumbass. It's difficult for me to not consider this behavior in a very negative way. IDK if anyone is present here to defend it but I'd be interested to hear legitimate reasons why this isn't completely terrible At least now it could still pass. If they were the majority they would be able to actually inflict suffering here.
  11. we're gonna air guitar in unison for sure
  12. gotcha thanks. I was thinking it might be Aria b/c I could make out the A. I suspect the ridiculous prices for Gibsons nowadays is only going to cause these to increase in price even more. Good luck with it homey!
  13. Anyone here do much hybrid or finger picking? I was reading guitar player article about some country riffs and one (or more of them) were using hybrid picking so I learned how to do the picking specifically for that riff and used that picking strategy on a recent studio opportunity. I liked it so much I found another article solely about hybrid picking with a bunch of exercises to basically get you going (quickly they say): https://www.guitarworld.com/magazine/depth-guide-hybrid-picking-will-have-you-playing-pro-no-time-all I'm starting at the very begging, and some of them I could do pretty quickly but others I've had to work on. I'm working systematically on it, 2 mins for each one w/ a metronome that increase by 5bpm every day as long as I didn't suck at it the day before. It's pretty neat empirically seeing improvement every day. I think this is going to be one of the more consequential things I learn in guitar playing. Not CAGED or Minor Pentatonic box patterns level important, but important nonetheless.
  14. awesome! I like that burst, and that's saying something b/c I don't really like bursts but I do like cherry bursts & similar. I tried to zoom in on the headstock but still couldn't read it clearly, what is it?
  15. good stuff, this all resounds with me pretty well. I then wonder... ok, what about bills that congresspeople actually didn't author - like a lobbyist group authored it?
  16. Gop cares about babies 28million. Not billion
  17. Just listening to cspan and Schumer said something about how he authored the Brady Bill....which got me wondering... Do originalist justices ever just actually.... ask congresspersons what they meant if they're still alive? I googled quickly and apparently it's very rare for the House to file an amicus brief.
  18. Yes! I wasn't in medicine, but they taught us about how important it was to be able to replicate results but the incentive structure doesn't reward replicating results.
  19. The reason I asked this is because it is in the title of the journal article being discussed.
  20. Oh that sounds kinda rad.....
  21. Samsung definitely adds to the Android operating system. Many things that are duplicative between Samsung and Android. Walt used to rant on here about how Samsung did that Your calculus is my calculus with the dudes in Cupertino. The other part is that you can't unroot the phone which drastically reduces resale value in my past experience. If it's been rooted it categorically consider vulnerable by many folks.
  22. I have a super high level of skepticism of academic peer review as well. Mainly because well that was work my advisor delegated... to his students such as me....
