  1. Is that hard pass as in you're not interested hard pass or is that hard pass, like the one Trump made towards his daughter Ivanka?
  2. Big Tits Rudy Guliani. Pretty disgusting stuff here from the former Mayor.
  3. I get that Scott Harris might have been screwed over by ERod if and when he changed his mind at the last minute and didn't want to go to LA. That's not on Harris at all and I genuinely feel bad for him. The player has the right to change their mind, but you have to be open and upfront about it. However, what I do believe does fall on him is not having a backup plan/back up team to fall back on. If ERod did veto the trade then what was the the alternate plan for Harris? Has anyone seen a media report about Harris talking with another team, because I have not. That's where I think I have a core problem at having thought about this for the past 12 hours or so. He had to have been negotiating with someone other than the Dodgers no? I guess if he opts in and stays or gives us the chance to trade him in the offseason, then all this bluster and frustration is for not. And if ERod wants to opt in, I think we would all collectively better if he announced his intentions to do so sooner rather than later.
  4. Of course they're indicting many of his followers, they attempted a coup to overthrow the government and overturn the results of the 2020 election. So Trump is right, attempt a coup on your government, and you'll get indicted.
  5. Isn't it Harris fault for allowing himself to be sandbagged? Shouldn't ERod be the first person he talks with to get a clear understanding of where he will and won't go? Isn't that on Harris to do before even considering a call to the Dodgers GM?
  6. I can see the resemblance . . .
  7. Is anyone at all worried that Dombrowski has a history of hyping up his prospects as better than they actually are and bilking other GMs to take them?
  8. Is it wishful thinking on my part to think we could have gotten the Phillies to part with their star prospect OF Justin Crawford?
  9. A dumb team, that makes bad decisions and can't get on base will be a team that takes a smarter approach at the plate and can get on base.
  10. Is this a one for one deal???
  11. Stats for Lee . . 50 FV, OPS .762 in A+, 5 HR, 14 SB
  12. Is Lee a better prospect than OF Justin Crawford?
  13. Isn't that a fake account for Morosi?
  14. When you turn off FM radio (sorry MCS) and ignore mainstream, major label music, there is a whole world of good **** out there. If you are interested in going down musical rabbit holes check out the Alt-Country/Indie Country/Americana/Bluegrass/Roots music spreadsheet I made. I've tried capturing as many quality, good artists and bands as I could that fit into the "country/country-ish" genre. If you haven't ever listened to him, start with an artist named John Moreland if you're looking for something new to listen to. Margo Price is another good starting point. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/0B-IgWUeH-NnVa21zWXUtQ0FMY2M/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=106745601695921414018&resourcekey=0-99UB0ZcBlxLpfPm4luJUmg&rtpof=true&sd=true
  15. When I was traveling in Denmark last year it was during HS/primary school graduation season. Many of the newly minted Danish grads would drive around on a bus or back of a truck all day with their friends. They were drinking, eating, listening to loud music, and celebrating graduation all day. Perhaps Sweden has the same or similar traditions. Maybe its a Nordic/Scandinavian thing?
  16. Trump won in 2016 and then got more votes in 2020. He absolutely can win the White House.
  17. New Tyler Childers music out with a song called In Your Love. This is a slower, sappier song in the vein of Lady May and is not the hard driving, upbeat sound of Whitehouse Road. I like the song but am not certain I dig the way it was arranged with some of the background instrumentation. I would have preferred a more straight country-style fiddle sound than the pop-orchestral sound it sort of presents. I really enjoy his songwriting on this one though. I guess he'll be releasing an album some time in the next couple of months.
  18. MLive: Lions’ Aaron Glenn takes coaching hat off to marvel at Levi Onwuzurike’s resiliency
  19. RIP to the great Paul Ruebens aka Pee Wee Herman of Pee Wee's Playhouse.
  20. RIP Randy Meisner of The Eagles.
  21. If the inflation trends keep going down AND people actually perceive that at the grocery store, gas station, going out to eat, buying a used car, and taking a vacation then it will be yesterday's news. If the numbers are low on inflation but gas prices are still somewhat high, voters may still think of inflation as being high. That said, even if voters were to perceive high inflation, the 2022 midterms showed us they don't want to give the MAGA crowd all the keys and they have reservations about doing so. Combine those reservations with voters feeling that inflation has cooled substantially and an electorate that is getting increasingly younger going into 2024 and I think Democrats will be in fairly good shape.
  22. Yes, he has played like a top 7-10 QB the past year and a half. He's also proven that with a good set of offensive weapons and line around him, he can be apart of a team that goes to the Super Bowl. From a purely statistical standpoint Goff has proven with Ben Johnson and Dan Campbell that he is capable enough to play consistently good and winning football. If this team had any type of defense last year during the first half of the season they are probably a 10 win team and that's largely thanks to Goff and co on the offense along with Ben Johnson. I was so eager to chase Stafford out of town, waving around my stats about his record and stats against top 15 defenses, how he could never beat good teams, lost on the road, threw too many INTs, etc. I lost the forest for the trees. On the whole, Stafford was a good to very good starting QB and those are very hard to come by in the NFL. There's a reason why 15 or so teams are always caught in the QB carousel and we were not. I was so eager to run Stafford out of town and I got my wish. I won't do the same for Goff. A writer on the SideLion Report website had what I would believe to be a fair contract. Give Goff (pulled from the article) 3years (through 2027), $110 million ($36.66 million per year), $75 million (basically the first 2 years, as a practical matter) fully guaranteed at signing. Anything beyond 3 years would not have guaranteed money involved. I think that type of deal is fair and equitable for both sides, unless Goff wants a 5/6 years of guaranteed money. I'd have a much harder time doing that.
  23. Fredo strikes again.
  24. WaPo: Trump charged with seeking to delete security footage in documents case Prosecutors announced additional charges against Donald Trump on Thursday in his alleged hoarding and hiding of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, accusing the former president and a newly-indicted aide of trying to keep security camera footage from being reviewed by investigators and bringing the number of total federal charges against Trump to 40.
  25. She could have resigned her position over the Iraq War or she could have been asked to be stationed elsewhere in the Middle East.
