    Karlsson's cap hit this year and next is 11mil...his actual cash owed is$9 and $7.5 mil....even if the Pens don't retain cap, those numbers fit in the current structure

    I think any meaningful upgrade is going to have to come from a rebuilding team look for draft picks and or/a salary dump. It would be awesome if Kyle Connor would tell the Jets he's not signing no matter what and he wants to come back to SE Michigan...beyond that..maybe Nashville would like to get out from under that Stamkos contract.

On the bright side..assuming he lives long enough to get there, he'll collect somewhere north of 100k a year in pension benefits...so he won't die completely destitute. This is where the WNBA has an advantage...if Sophie Cunningham found herself in a similar situation, she could do an OnlyFans and probably make as much or more than she does from hoops
