  1. Point...or should I say "points" well taken
  2. To wit...no woman has ever been as hot as Farrah Fawcett Majors in that swimsuit poster.
  3. Today we can discuss the actual cost of the Meadows/Rodriguez deals. Combined they have contributes to the 2022 Tigers only slightly more than 1970's Tigers SP Les Cain and IF OF Marv Lane...which is to say...slightly more than zero
  4. Are the Knicks secretly run by the dumbest callers to their sports talk stations?
  5. I think Larkin is a 1C if he stays healthy...this is the first year we saw him play more or less a full year between two capable wings and he did well. If they lift the Covid restrictions and he gets a full year with Larkin and Raymond...Bert could push 40 goals...he had 30 in 68 this year. Raymond looks like a 30 goal guy...Vrana has been on pace to get 40 from day one here, but he's been hurt so much. We'll see how Copp and Perron fit in. We have the pieces to score enough. We need the defense and goaltending to come around. Edvinsson could be another pillar...but guys like Johansson, Wallinder, Buiumen and Sebrango give you a shot at having six great to good to at least decent NHL defenseman for the next decade.
  6. If he falls to us...Neto would be...neato
  7. The Chiarot deal looks a little less awful when one looks at the Gudbranson signing. They definitely seem to be trending towards guys who are "hard to play against". Guys like Suter and Lindstrom who looked pretty easy to muscle off the puck should be concerned. If I'm Joe Veleno I come to camp looking focusing on checking and killing penalties because the top three C's are likely going to be Larkin, Copp and Rasmussen. Although I prefer Ras on the wing...they've spent a lot of time talking about his ablity to become a big, physical shutdown C
  8. After today's signings...I think Ras is the 3C. I wonder if Stevie is looking to move anyone out? One thing is certain...the tank is over in Detroit. Today's signings raise the expectations. Maybe not mke the playoffs...but at least contend
  9. Dominik Kubalik also?
  10. Skubal with a called 3rd strike on a 100MPH (!) FB...that's prime JV territory there
  11. Chiarot/Seider will be a bear to match up with physically. Perron should boost the PP. I think Stevie wants to be in the playoff chase
  12. Or get Van Riemsdyk and a 1st so Philly can sign him
  13. After he closed out last season on a high note...I'd like to see Ras on a line with Copp and Vrana
  14. Ottawa's 2021 draft was pretty questionable... Would have preferred the RH Strome, but Copp works... Need to add some LHD...if not via FA maybe a deal or two?
  15. Doesn't seem to be too many DMen in Pronman's early rankings...bias or reflection of actual distribution of prospects?
  16. Dylan Strome is an option for 2C...but I would prefer his brother Ryan because he's a RH shot.
  17. How did Austin Meadows suddenly become so frail?
  18. I was watching some youtube stream called "Woodward sports" last night...I think DMac is associated with them...during the draft. The lead host Adam...something...was touting Brad Lambert as a possible pick at 8. Dude must have researched using a Hockey News from last spring
  19. Nice! They can take their time with Cossa
  20. The Wings have shipped a third rd pick to the Blues for pending FA goalie Ville Husso
  21. There was a fair amount of talk on The Athletic that The Wings were on him pretty heavily during the SHL playoffs. The lack of pure production doesn't concern me given his age and the skill level of the league. That and he earned more time and responsibility as the season wore on
  22. Who Chicago jump us to grab?
  23. At first I thought he might be binge watching Stranger Things...but he should've been done with that ages ago
  24. No Flores? That's a bit of a shock
  25. Eichel did not score 50 in a season...his high is 36. Larkin's is 32... Eichel has more consistency in his favor...and he's scored more PPG. But Larkin is viewed as being better defensively and he's not a "locker room cancer". They both have had neck issues I would expect a healthy return for Larkin and/or Bert...but...I'm not sure I'd want to bank on either one as a cornerstone of a rebuild.
