  1. the Eduardo non trade has been analyzed more than the JFK assassination
  2. Headline in the Detroit News, but paywalled, that said a majority of Michigan voters, including Republicans, support SC term limits.
  3. especially since Harris was carrying out her job and following an established set of rules and policies... nobody made Trump get involved but hey... an opportunity to smear some black people... you don't have to ask twice for his help on that. That's fun to him.
  4. Generally speaking, not specific to the UAW or auto industry, and not even to unions.... but I've evolved to the point where I don't hold it against an employee for not going "all out". I can see doing it if you work for a smaller firm, maybe family run, where you might have more "ownership" or a relationship with the owners at least. But for a corporation that is accountable only to shareholders that treat employees like numbers... I don't see the benefit of an employee busting their ass at maximum capacity for their benefit because unless it's specifically spelled out they won't reward you. Especially when it comes to physical jobs. That kind of work wears on you over time. When you are 50 and have arthritis in your hands and a bad back.... they're not going to remember you. They aren't paying you more than they said they would so don't give them more than what they expect of you. Save the over work for when you are volunteering your time for other things like kids events, church functions, etc. That's when it's needed.
  5. JD is the guy who in middle school you wouldn't want to be left alone with young girls or pets.
  6. They're weird
  7. I think 18 years is too short. I would go with 24. That gets you through 3 maximum presidencies, something we only saw twice in history. (Jefferson, Madison, Monroe and Clinton, Bush, Obama). I think you keep the spirit of a lifetime appointment. It would have affected these recent justices. Breyer, Ginsberg, Thomas, Rehnquist, Scalia, Stevens.
  8. I tried to go to a Tampa Tarpons game last week but it was rained out.
  9. Peters seems uninspiring to me. Nothing against him at all but I am not sure most Michiganders would even know him. 😜
  10. but I still don't get why Kyle classified it as SC reform. It's Executive Reform, as in, defining procedures and safeguards for the Executive Branch. It doesn't affect the SC other than address/clarify one of their rulings, but that's not what I would call Reform.
  11. I'm confused about why #1 is about the SC? Is he proposing a specific bill to address that? I don't see that as SC reform though.
  12. "Good POBO's find a way!" Expecting to see a lot of that nonsense on twitter over the next few days
  13. My neighbors do that. I just got back from Florida. We've gone 3 times since 2021 on the gulf and I love it. But of course when you are on vacation and steps from the water, it's nice. The heat doesn't bother me. Last year we did Pacific Beach in San Diego and that.... is how I could live.
  14. Unrelated.... but the Villages sounds like a horrible place to live.
  15. Thanks for this.
  16. If not for a writers strike that prompted the networks to realize that “reality” shows were cheaper to produce and in the end even with reduced ratings be just as profitable as a more scripted show.
  17. Frankly I question the intelligence and morality of any trump supporter. In case anybody wondered where I stand. And it’s not political. He made run of peopl like my son and if you are ok with that then there’s a fundamental difference between us.
  18. He cannot stand that he’s being made fun of.
  19. So was Jesus a sandwich?
  20. This isn’t a TV show where things get wrapped up in a half hour. It’s being investigated. They aren’t going to give a press conference every time a detail emerges. The USSS will keep things close so as to not reveal protection standards.
  21. I was at the game and know nothing more than what I saw. Any further details?
  22. there’s 17 people in the Paris photo. And no food. Isn’t food a requirement for a supper? It’s just 17 people facing the viewer at a table? Did Da Vinci corner the market on all subjects facing the viewer?
  23. No, not those wankers. The judean people’s front. life of Brian made fun of radicals. But the religious critics are too stupid to realize it.
