getting old sucks doesn't it?

Wrong tagline. Hers was “never mind!”

Thinking on twitter is by resigning now Buck is trolling Boebert. She can’t run in the special election to fill the seat since she’s already in congress for another district. She could be looking at facing an incumbent.

Thats where I am at. Draft picks aren’t finished products

I don't think so. They shoot you with a thin needle wherever the treatment is for. There are medical reasons, I have a friend with jaw issues that it helped. But what you are referring to is probably something similarly vain. Everybody looks worse with it.

the latest multi level type marketing scam going around among some of my social media acquantiences is botox. They started letting RN's do the treatments and as a husband of someone in the health care field, I know a lot of nurses. It's their new side hustle. It replaced pills, diets, shakes, certain clothing lines, etc. Especially among our circle, we just hit age 50, so we're in the demo. "Hey, did you know there's a thing called Brotox?" We play a game now... asking whether people we know do it. I say "do it" because it's not a one and done thing. Of course you need ongoing treatments. What good is a scam if it's only used once, right?

Terminology is a big deal in the deaf community. They are sensitive to the idea that something is deficient and "needs to be fixed", for example there's a hard line between those with and withouth cochlear implants. In my view it's semantics. As the parent of a deaf kid with other cognitive and physical issues I don't get worked up. People generally mean well. They say Handicapped is "wrong" but there's signs that say it. Disable is problematic for the reasons you cite. There isn't a right or wrong answer. In a lot of cases the thing that makes them disabled or whatever is just a degree of difference from someone needing glasses. You need some kind of help. We all do.

I like her. A lot. She was the best part of Basic Instinct.

My wife pesters me when it gets very high because I think she's under some belief that your odds go up? I don't get it. She gets worked up b/c of the news stories and feels a sense of panic, like black friday shopping. As it is... if I had to pick the option of winning $5M vs $500M, I'd take the $5M every single time. $500M means you take on a full time job just managing the money and dealing with all the beggars. $5M you could stash away peacefully and retire and still live the same life ableit one that didn't require you to work at something you might not care for.

Right. They talked a lot of smack on TV but what did or would they say under oath? When one person speaks under oath and is rebutted by a guy on Hannity or whatever, I'm going to lean toward believing the person under oath.

To use a pun... the rest of the state is getting woke to how crazy other members of their state are and finally pushing back. A lot of this is driven by the crazy PTA lot, meaning those who show up at school board meetings, PTA meetings, etc. and whine and complain about every grievance they have while most others are busy going about their day. My wife was a PTA President for like 10 years and had to deal with these people. They love to complain but never sign up for anything. They think everybody exists to serve them. They are the same parents who complain to coaches about playing time, I would just say "Here's a whistle, practices are every day 5:30 to 7, what size shirt do you need? We'd love to have you. We have the budget to take you on because... there is no budget. Nobody pays us. welcome aboard" The squeaky wheels had their time.

I have the anti-gambling gene. Even entering pools or squares or whatever it makes me enjoy the games less because I get too worked up over my bet. I just don't enjoy it.

I bet the RNC will operate as well as the MIGOP did under Karamo.

He pitched 1.2 innings after the trade.

The way he behaved in public at the few events we saw him was... not unfamilair to those around autistic people.

Well we didn't need Cordero, we had Matt Anderson! Justin Thompson pitched one of the games I saw in person, probably until we hit our peak with guys like JV, and Max and Anibal. It was a midweek afternoon game in Apr of 1999. My friend and I went to the game, I had just finished school, finally, and was about to begin my job search, so I was free and clear of any B.S. like studying, etc. Newly married with no other responsibilities. Was going to be a fun day. Justin gave up one hit into the 9th, before another single, then Todd Jones came in for 3 quick outs. The only run was a Brad Ausmus HR in the bottom of the 8th Game was over before 3 o clock. We had plans to hit up a strip club on MI avenue after.... but they were all closed. The legend by Smith is that Ilitch made him do the trade.... who knows. He also claimed to have a deal the following summer to get Mariano River and Bernie Williams. The org would have kept Rivera as a starter, he would have flamed out, and they would have traded Bernie for a AA prospect.

I'd say he's probably dyslexic but is too macho/embarassed to say so and deal with it and instead operates under the belief reading is beneath him, he'll just do the big things and leave the details to others.

Problem is a good number of those RINO's will still vote for him because Biden's old or Kamala or something...

Cool moment at the Oscars that Kimmel highlighted... 48 years ago these two were both nominated for Taxi Driver. This year they were both nominated again.

For sure. Of course Randy sent him to KC before playing for the Tigers. Later on in his mid and late 30's he was hanging around in Toronto having ok seasons. Such a horrible horrible deal. That deal set the stage and was the symbol for the first 5 awful years at Comerica Park. Remebember the closing ceremonies at Tiger Stadium, they had Cordero, Kapler, and maybe Catalannato, riding in a van with police escort to take Home Plate to Comerica Park. The Future. Nah... we got other ideas.

I don’t understand the concerns with TikTok. Yeah they have user data. Everyone has that. I think it’s about trying to end a communication channel for young people.

As good as she is to look at, a real throwback to movie stars of old, I could do without the Rene Russo scenes. No a knock on her at all. Loved her in Get Shorty and Tin Cup. But I don’t like movies about subject A that just have to throw in a love story, like another Russo movie, in the line of fire.

I know Larry managed after Bell got fired into 1999 and he was at Toledo for a long time after over a couple of stints. Good company man.

Regarding 2016… I believe that enough voters in the 3 swing seats sat out because they couldn’t vote for Hillary, didn’t want Trump, and figured she would win. If that election were held again a week later after knowing what happened I think it wakes people up. There won’t be any “I don’t want Trump to win but I’m not voting for the democrat” votes this time. That’s a mistake that won’t be made again.

Great post. In my world both jn person and on social media the only political talk is by a few older people still going on and on about the border and CRT and all of that. I think it’s just boredom on their part. They got nothing to do all day except browse their phones and watch Fox News and listen to their patriot radio. I bet if we had daytime soaps like before a lot of this would go away.
