That affects the ability to service. It's a constant topic of conversation in my line of work. What usually happens is you get a good one then they find a "desk type" job with a supplier putting that real world talent to use upstream after a few years of wrenching and busting their knuckles.

That's the new way. In order to get these top baseball guys from other organizations you have to give them top titles. What used to be the GM until the last 15 years or so was what the Presidents of Baseball Ops people do today. Organizations have gotten much larger and roles exist today that didn't back then so you have to give them titles and create a hierarchy. Jim Campbell reported to the owner. I like twitter to follow topics I am interested in and I still get useful info and entertainment from certain accounts. For example the last two epsiodes of Ahsoka were really good and I used twitter to see what others were thinking. It has its uses for a news feed if you curate who you follow. I do that every few months. Even if it's something or someone you agree with politically it can still be toxic as it just riles you up and makes you mad. I have to get rid of those people.
