Not since Walter and Saul left.

It might be a Michigan thing...? I looked it up. Started in Cleveland. Sanders in Detroit turned it up a few notches... a great lakes thing along with areas in AZ and FL.

Why do people think other orgs won't see the things about our players that we see about them?
-
Why is it never the Republicans fault for joining the dems and electing Jefferies? Why do the dems have to join the R's?
-
Mike Lawler once again on CNN blaming Democrats for helping to create this mess. He did it 3 times in his interview. I didn't know it was their job to make sure a republican stays speaker.

The US rep for the area, The mayor of the city of Dearborn, and the Chair of the Wayne County Commission (Sam Beydoun) are all spreading this lie on social media.
-
The mayor of my city put out a long diatribe about this. He used to be a member of the state house. He called out our state leaders yesterday for their silence over the Israeli bombing of the hospital. I so want to ask him if perhaps it was because they waited for further information? It's rich to call out others for not speaking up on something that you got wrong. I won't do it because my so works for the city and I don't want to mess anything up for him. People will just believe what they want now. Facts do not matter. There's a significant portion of our population that will go on thinking an Israeli bomb did this and there's no going back.

That’s where I am at. If tomorrow 3000 native Americans went into neighborhoods and started slaughtering white people would these lefties start saying “well you know we took their land and 500 years of oppression…”. Historical mistreatment is real and acknowledged but immediate slaughter and death is not justified.

Are there two gag orders? The one I know of from yesterday or whatever was about the documents case. he wants all of this because the more rulings against him then it gives him more things to appeal. Stall stall stall.
-
Yeah who can you believe? Would Israel admit it if it were theirs? How will we ever know? Neither side will believe the result of an investigation. My gut tells me it would be stupid of Israel to do this. You lose your goodwill and moral standing and it’s unnecessary. I think Hamas is ruthless enough to kill its own to generate outrage towards Israel. But I also know vengeance is a powerful force.

Why are the dems doing this?

I don't know where this is being discussed but today I see an airstrike on a hospital in Gaza and seeing multiple tweets saying it's Israel's bomb and others saying it's from Hamas... misinformation is king now and we've reached the consequences of a post Jan 6 fake news world. Nobody will believe anything that isn't on "their side" and no matter what footage or statements show minds will not be changed. Such a dangerious time now. I have no idea what the truth is because I can't study and research... twitter used to be of some use but now it's not reliable. Everyone is stuck in their bubbles. Not both sidesing this at all because it really is confusing to me. The extremes on both sides have it in for Israel, for different reasons I guess, and the middle who support Israel, as I tend to do, are probably guilty of the same. If Hamas did it, then it's business as usual for them. If Israel did it then they need to be more careful and just take the L if if the alternative means more civilian casualties. There's supposed to be rules of war. You can't take down an entire region, just like we couldn't and shouldn't have after 9/11, even though at the time I suggested just nuking the whole middle east and starting over. Emotions run high but cooler heads are required by those with actual decision making power.

are all of these no votes just for show and they'll turn into Yes after a few more ballots? I really have not been paying attention to this very much. Been busy with a trip to Cooperstown and half marathon training, running, recovery, etc. Just didn't care about it.

But you can't change what fans think. That's putting the toothpaste back in the tube. Teams come to spring training with a stated goal to win the world series, not win the most games in the regular season. Every professional sport is like that. Nobody involved in the sport, from players, owners, TV execs, or most fans, would prefer it that way. That would be boring.
-
Would the NL and AL Champ designations be as meaningful as all of those NHL Western Conference Regular season chamionship banners we see at Little Ceasar's arena? Fans look at those with almost disgust as the lack of a corresponding SCF banner indicates a disappointing end to the season.
-
Probably due to the games being tighter now with enforcement of the pitch clock. TV still needs their commercial times.
-
The goal is to make as much money as possible while giving the bare minimum lip service to the competition aspect of it. in the modern era of the playoffs whats the home teams record compared to the regular season?
-
Given all that then what’s the point of trying to figure it out? The playoffs in baseball is a tournament of most likely the best teams that season and those with better records are given some advantages. I don’t really know what else they are supposed to be if I am being honest. I enjoy watching them because it’s a higher quality of play with larger crowds and higher stakes. Just seems like the last year or so there’s been more belly aching about top seeded teams losing

We had Gibraltar trade center.

I know this has been discussed earlier but in a season covering 6 months and playing nearly every day is there a big difference between a 90 and 100 win team? I know perceptually there is. But come a series in October do you really know who is better? It’s 1.5 wins a month over that time and given changes in the makeup of a team….
-
The only way to fix it is to not allow them in. Anybody can beat anybody in a 3 game series and to a lesser extent 5 and 7 game. In the AL it’s the 3-4 seed. That isn’t horrible. In the NL it’s the 4-6 seed. But AZ as the 6 didn’t block anyone like MN did for Toronto and Seattle in the AL. They and Miami and the sixth best record in the NL and I don’t know the tiebreaker. So mathematically it stands if you let in 6 per league, regardless of division, you very well might get an 84 win team.

I hate when one series plays two games before the other plays one. I’m sure it’s due to TV considerations. and haven’t we seen enough of ARod and Jeter and Papi? Papi calling Jeter Cap? Come on.
