  1. Mess things up intentionally then when the Democrats complain throw out the "See both sides can't accept election results" card. Then the real overturning can be classified as a "both sides" thing.
  2. the old adage... if the service you use is free the you are not the customer but the product being sold. Subscriber models have to be priced pretty low in my opinion. I throw some money to Patreons because I like their service but $1 to $2 a month is something I can look past. But get to the $4-5 range and I will question it.
  3. Twitter has content generated for it. Charge the generators? To be fair Twitter is providing the platform to get that content out there. Nobody's reading and paying $5 a month for Joe Blow's Substack unless they see the tweet promoting it. I dont know how this will shake out.
  4. The app I use has a 45 second skip forward. Greatest thing ever. Even the big podcasts do that. I like interview podcasts and Smartless is great for getting right to it. Conan's will have banter. Marc Maron will spend about 7 minutes in "therapy" telling us how he feels...
  5. Musk is going to charge $20 a month to have a blue checkmark. I suspect the only ones who will pay are accounts managed for the super rich who don’t even use it the way we do. Someone like Taylor Swift. People like that. Your real content creator like a writer pushing an article in a newspaper. won’t pay. They will just trust the reader. Or maybe the paper or org will pay it the original intent was to verify identity. Not to ensure legitimacy of the opinion or that you were famous enough.
  6. The fact this thread exploded just shows how warped our reality has become. The Clinton murder cult. Fake moon landings. Pizza parlor sex orgies of whatever it was. 9/11 inside jobs. People will believe anything. Maybe it was an alien who did it. I mean… you don’t know it wasn’t. Until you can prove it wasn’t then I am as right as you are. That’s our logic today.
  7. I feel extremely confident it wasn’t due to insider trading. its nuts to go to such great lengths to avoid the most likely scenario when it’s right in front of your fucking face simply because you don’t like the victim. That’s some Tucker Carlson shit.
  8. Yeah but “many people were saying”….
  9. Jim Edmunds.
  10. It is easier as an OF to slide vs dive because you can still smother it. Also less of an injury risk. I saved runs on a play in high school that way. Lefty up hit one about 15 feet behind 3B. I had little chance of catching it but I threw my body at it and kept the play on front of me.
  11. Dallas had a crime problem in November 1963.
  12. That's why I use twitter and this site.... I can watch the games and listen just like anyone. I played baseball so I like to think I know a little bit but nothing special. I never ever claim to be an expert. But I know who I like to listen to and which opinions and insights mean something to me so I like to hear their takes. And I appreciate the extra level of analysis some will go to with regard to the advance numbers or observations. Why try to reinvent the wheel?
  13. I think people like having that on in the background because it makes others thing they are smart. I've said before I also think it's all bullshit. I listen to people when I'm at a party or gathering and all they do is hold their wine glass and regurgitate what they heard or read that morning. No real insight. By the time any regular person notices something the move has already been made and you are too late. It's just a form of gambling for people. I lurk in here because people smarter than me give feedback and it is interesting to see.
  14. Karamo is already suing Detroit. Just throw shit out there then say "There's doubt..." Even if the doubt is bullshit. MAGA doesn't need facts. "They saw that thing on TV" as the Halloween Spirit Conservative Costume says.
  15. They already did https://www.motownforums.com/topic/49-cleanup-in-aisle-lunatic-ht-romad1/?do=findComment&comment=95605
  16. I agree. Jack Morris gets his fair share of latitudes for being a "big time pitcher in the playoffs" but he had some stinkers in 87 and 92.
  17. I thought it was twice a month.
  18. I know it's a fluke of birth year and that he was in the WS his rookie year, but Verlander will make a WS start in his third decade, covering a 17 year span. Anyone else done that?
  19. If guys like Cramer were so good why wouldn't they just keep it to themselves and get rich and savor the anonymity?
  20. I love them and wish I wasn't having these issues with my hands because you can feel it everywhere. You can make them almost as effective on your knees anyway and remove a lot of the injury risk. Win Win.
  21. be careful. A friend of mine, who is in decent shape for someone in their mid 40's, was doing 100 a day to keep up with his HS boys. He ended up having some kind of muscle attack on his arms but wasn't sure at the time, went to the ER to rule out a heart attack. Don't be afraid to go on your knees. At our age.... it's no joke. I used to bang out 25 at a time but my wrists and fingers started to develop some issues, i wear gloves now. But during our classes if we are doing chest or pushup work I get some 35 pound dumbells and do it that way.
  22. twice a month I meant. Their pay.
