  1. I don't think it's nefarious. Just overly cautious news directors who don't want to get flooded by an extremely small batch of Karens who didn't want their little snowflake kids to see that.
  2. 6-5 going into the 3rd. Can’t stay to. 5:15 comes early.
  3. To be an anti Vaxxer and pro ivermectin requires dual levels of crazy.
  4. For me in the beginning of the 90s the black crowes was all there was for current straight up blues based rock and roll on the radio. Grunge was still kind of niche and it’s own thing. I heard it said that the blackest white guy used to be Peter Wolf then it became Chris Robinson.
  5. “Ivermectin is FDA approved therefore we can use it as toothpaste” is not now medicine works
  6. that's the point. Screw it up then say "Ok... the legislature has to cast the EC votes". This is a trial run to... get it wrong.
  7. Drugs can have different uses. Just beause something is authorized doesn't mean it's authorized for everything. Reminds me of a common misconception that insurance covers Viagra. It can. If used to treat heart conditions, which was the original intent. If your doctor prescribes for that then insurance will cover it. If you want to get for erectile dysfunction then insurance won't cover it. Anecdotes is not data. Some people got covid, drank some coca cola, and felt better. Doesn't mean it was from the coca cola. Some people got covid, drank coffee, and died. Doesn't mean coffee killed them.
  8. It's a shame that Robert Forster died. The BCS facebook page made a point to give us a picture of Howard and saying Blue looks good on him. Blue can mean bad things for people.
  9. A significant number believe that scenario is God's will and should be supported.... that if she's a Christian she's better off.
  10. No it wouldn’t. The GOP would still not be satisfied. They are barely going along with any exceptions for “life” of the mother, if at all, let alone health of the mother . They think health is too broad of a term. You know…, life is risky. Don’t want to take a risk? Don’t have sex. Don’t fight God’s will. That’s what they really think.
  11. I am banned from posting or commenting on FB for 24 hours because I wrote this on a facebook group about Ozark: I really enjoyed the flashback of Ruth’s family having a BBQ singing angel from Montgomery. They may have been poor white trash hicks but in that moment we saw them happier and enjoying life more than the Byrds ever did or would. This is my second infraction. The first was because in that same group we were discussing The Untouchables and I quoted Andy Garcia's line to Sean Connery where he called him a "stinking Irish pig".
  12. I was laugh because the toilet was in the trash when they were outside. im leaning towards Kim going to the vacuum guy. She is smart enough to memorize that number or location.
  13. tonight's the last BCS until July.
  14. They have burgers. That's the focus. The guy basically said they replaced the alcohol with ice cream. They live in the neighborhood, he's also a pharmacist. They wanted a place they could take their kids to. Not everyone wants to, or can for religious/custom reasons, go to a place that is primarily a bar. The burgers were very good. Nice people. Kind of a limited menu as they want to focus on smaller things and get it right. They own the day care place next door and in conversations with JP, the owner of the former JP's they eventually came to an agreement to buy it. Seems to do well.
  15. Remember when Greektown was the only nice safe place to go in Detroit. I won't go there there anymore. And even after Tiger games now there seems to be a lot more activity. Loud cars booming, revving of the engines, etc. There's always a huge line to get into the place that used to be Cheli's.
  16. boo fucking hoo. After having too many men on the ice while short handed and down 2-0 in game 3, down 2-0 in the series, in 2009 they never ever get to complain about a call in the playoffs. Never.
  17. I am dragging. Stayed up Saturday night, then got up to run 8 miles, then again last night. Thank God for working from home.
  18. Ferndale, Stellantis, and Ford re imposing masks for those on site.
  19. No I don't think it's the same owners. Yes the parking lot is weird. But the hot dog cart guy is back so once a week I walk over to get one. Have you tried the new Bagel place in the Iceburg location? They are sharing the space. We've had it twice. Very good. They sell bagels in the morning before the Iceburg people take over.
  20. I can't wait for the new place to open up next to CVS. I used to go to the Pelham Market a lot too for quick one or two item things. But they had a dispute with The Vinery people, who own the building, so they kicked them out. They were nice people. Meat was a bit iffy but for things like pasta or whatever it was fine.
  21. Wife does our big shopping and after trying Meijer a few times she keeps saying “never again”. We do the online ordering between them and Kroger. And for other things we hit up Westborn, Dearborn Farm Market, or Aldi. The Aldi on the hill is great. Never been to one of them before. They don’t have everything to stock a kitchen or pantry but they have a lot of what you need. Basically we use Kroger or Meijer for perishables. Then we get the fresh stuff from other places. We probably go to the store 5 times a week with 4 of those being quick 15 minute trips.
  22. This is all bullshit.
  23. This guy is doing the work of Tucker and Hannity and Ingraham and the rest of the GOP. He took their complaints to the next logical step.
  24. Decisions now must be made based on hospitalized from covid instead of with covid. That’s the only metric that should matter.
  25. That guy is one of you. He devours the same media you do and agrees with you on everything
