anyone else still watching The Walking Dead? We are almost caught up and I don't know what happened behind the scenes but this season is as good as anything we've seen with the show.

If you want space consider the area south of Downriver. I've always wanted to go down that away because then you are still closer to 75 and the rest of the country. Or out west in the jackson/Manchester area. The further north you go then the more congested it will be.

On a lake and not seeing your neighbor will be a tough ask.

Earlier presidents, prior to the civil war, also get some extra credit because as the nation was forming and expanding the decisions were larger in scope and scale. It’s hard for a tax policy to compete with doubling the size of the county.

When this hit the webs a few weeks ago I download the wordle app and it looked stupid. I didnt understand the fuss. Then my wife was telling me about it and it sounded nothing like what I downloaded. So yes… the wordle app is not what everyone is playing. It’s just a site. At least that’s how it was a few weeks ago.

Is that the one that said Biden did stuff to her?

I know this has come up on the old site but has anybody read Ty Cobb A Terrible Beaity? I'm about 10% in. Really enjoy it.

Of that picture - Lincoln, Ike, Nixon, Reagan, and both Bushes would not be welcome in today's version of the GOP. Maybe Coolidge too but I'd have to research Silent Cal some more. Never interested me.

There's also the element of "Fix the roads" and "why are they always doing construction?"

LOCKOUT '22: When will we see baseball again?
oblong replied to Motor City Sonics's topic in Detroit Tigers
Guys load up with body armor and hover over the plate and demand to be able to hit the ball wherever they want for a hit? Batters want to retain their competitive advantage that suits them while making the defense give up their competitive advantage derived from education? Sorry, not buying it. Defensive positioning evolved over time as teams got smarter about where the ball was most likely to be hit. This is just that. "Sorry, you have to keep the lane clear so that Lebron can dunk..." The Wings did the left wing lock in the 90's and it frustrated the other teams.... so they adapted and beat it. That's how sports works.- 1,851 replies

That's happened to me after runs. It is painful for about 10 minutes. I probably didn't have it as bad as him but its not fun.

When it comes to “sides” I agree with the players. But I too am fed up with the echo chamber in some of the “media”. This isn’t a social Justice issue. There’s no moral imperative here. It’s business. I want to watch baseball and I don’t care who wins or loses as long as I get to do that.- 1,851 replies

Ted Cruz is a guy with no friends. Even his wife and kids don’t like him. He decided that MAGA are the cool kids do he does their homework for them and sneaks his dad’s booze so they will let him hang out with them. When he’s not around they make fun of him.

Dickerson could also have a direct job with the Tigers in some capacity. He could also be an independent contractor. Ken Daniels doesn’t work for Ballys or Sinclair. He works for whatever his corporation is called. He’s afreelancer.- 1,851 replies

Growing up I only knew Caputo from the Tigers shows that were on channel 4 with Eli. No joke but for a long time I thought he was blind. Only memorable thing I heard him say was around 1995 or 1996 when he wondered if they would change the name of the road at the palace to “Two Lottery Drive”.- 1,851 replies

Stafford watch (A place for Stafford discussion)
oblong replied to RedRamage's topic in Detroit Lions
Let’s say Matt goes down there and tries to help and then suddenly they can say he made it worse somehow. He moved her wrong. Anything. Once a situation occurs where someone hurt and a very rich person is involved an attorney can make hay out of it. -
There’s a meme I’d like to post about NFT’s… whether this nice looking female has NFT’s… she says yes.

The wording is a little funny to me. If you “know God really exists” then I question whether what you claim to have can be called faith. I once wrote a paper in college on faith vs reason and to know something is to not have faith. I know water will freeze at 25 degrees. That’s not faith.

Why is it Mathew Stafford's responsibility to cover medical costs? I can see him being a nice guy and paying for the equipment.... I didn't like the crap he took yesterday. He's not a medical person. He's intoxicated. Guy on Fox 2 just now said that many famous people are advise by PR staff to avoid "situations". If something happens just walk away. That could have been the reason he did that. I'll go back to my idea that a player can only get a certain # of plate appearances at DH per season, or series for that matter. If it's a 2 game series, they can go up 5 times. A 3 game series, 10 times... I don't know. Play with the numbers. But then you get into things like extra innings and having to sub him out... I don't like rules like that. Just spitballing. Then you can use the DH as a health slot to give guys rests. Make it a platoon device rather than a place to store a fat tub of goo like David Ortiz.- 1,851 replies

Is that guy that looks like tattoo from Fantasy Island running again?

Plus I'm not a fan of slippery slope type arguments... "We can't do X because then someone will want to do Y". X and Y are different. You can deal with Y later on. Besides... how many quality catchers do you think you'll find who don't want to hit? Of course there's the exception like Zach Greinke who wants to hit but again you don't set rules to the extreme example.- 1,851 replies
