  1. MI's numbers are back at a new high for this wave.... things looked promising 10 days ago but they started back up again. Across the board in most counties so we can't blame the outstaters so much... although their rates are in the 40s and 50s and metro area is better, except Macomb of course.
  2. call me cynical but folks like Kavanaugh and Barrett are just paying lip service now to look "reasonable".
  3. I mean it did cross my mind that despite being a HOFer, Smoltz seems dumb and Buck is waiting to tell us about the Cowboys or Aaron Rodgers. But I didn't see anything on the twitter either.
  4. I don't know the rule but I would think once the path is blocked then you don't try to infer what would have happened as the runner had to make some kind of adjustment. I don't know. Was just surprised that they didn't bring that up. Maybe I'm wrong, like I said, I don't know the rulebook.
  5. But isn't this just a procedural thing? It doesn't kill the bill it just kicks it around some and will come back to them as the lower courts do their thing and the losing side appeals. In other words this isn't the end of it.
  6. I'm not an expert but isn't there an interference issue at play too? Fried's leg was blocking the closest part of the bag and the runner didn't have access to it. His leg was straddling the entire front side of the base.
  7. My twitter feed is hinting bad news for McCauliffe.
  8. Maybe she meant the dude… ? Like the heir.
  9. knowledge is knowing Frankenstein is not the monster wisdom is knowing Frankenstein is the monster
  10. Spot on. Bridge had a neighborhood vax rate map and in the metro Detroit area you could clearly see the border with GP to the east. The southwest wasn’t so clear because of the industrial complexes (refinery/steel/Ford). You could also clearly spot Pontiac, Southfield, and Inkster.
  11. I think you both are right. They want high salaries to confirm their greatness and to also raise the floor for the guys that come after.
  12. Didn’t Florida make it illegal to mandate masks at the local level and to require vaccinated patrons? Michigan didn’t do that. The state numbers correlate to vax rate and mask mandates in schools.
  13. I hear that every year around the Emmys from my mother in law. “What are these shows? I never heard of any of them. Who are these people?”
  14. I always snicker when I see right wingers play up the “made in USA” mantra because it’s their adherence to what they perceive as capitalism and focus on market returns is why we import so much cheap stuff. The love affair with squeezing every last nickel out of the process so that the investors are happy is why this situation exists. Look in the mirror.
  15. Even animal rights people think PETA is a joke.
  16. Something satisfying seeing a person on camera so things that’s going to end up very bad for them.
  17. Game 4 reminded me of game 4 of the ‘06 World Series. Looks like the series will be tied up and then the home team scored late and makes it seem inevitable.
  18. Jon Bon Jovi cancelled his concert tonight because he tested positive. Wonder if he was symptomatic or just came up because he’s tested every few days.
  19. It all goes back to the armorer and assistant AD who gave the him to Baldwin. The armorer is responsible. Baldwins fault is accepting the gun from someone other than the armorer I guess.
  20. He saw the attention Perot was getting so he jumped on it.
  21. The way to get around that is to eliminate off days. But I don’t know how you do that with night games and the need for travel days. During the season you get an off day every 2 weeks. That means your pitchers need more rest between games. The Braves had had 11 and the Astros 12 off days in since the season ended.
  22. They will cheer him. It would be awesome if they booed him. For sure. But I suspect he won’t be.
  23. I thought Virginia now is about the schools and crt and all that.
