  1. ... and one played center field, the other played first base.
  2. Raw OPS in 2022 is misleading given the leaguewide environment and the way Comerica played. OPS+ of 99 tells a different story.
  3. Henceforth, I will use Caleb Thielbar as an example of the Avila era reluctance to churn resulting in the Tigers missing out on a piece.
  4. Woofmaker.com You are welcome.
  5. Opt outs tend to be of the form where a player can declare free agency if they aren't on the MLB roster by a certain date.
  6. Cash considerations was because he had an opt out and was going to use it. I've brought him up because I think the new regime would give him a shot instead of giving him away for free, not afraid to churn the Reyeses/Castros of the world.
  7. Bally Sports heading to bankruptcy, which, I think, could spell some revenue trouble for teams with rights fees from such RSNs, including the Tigers.
  8. The WBC will help alleviate this. Baez is the only one in the mix playing in it, I think, though.
  9. Thanks, but it just makes so much sense. The abrupt shift to work from home for a lot of non politicians, combined with the existential dread of that time period led to a lot of precautions normally taken not being so.
  10. Yeah, I have no idea how that isn't a bigger story.
  11. If I can't touch money for three years, I want a lot more than that... Call me crazy; but CD's never appealed to me. Low fee index funds for the win, set and forget. We aren't smart enough to beat the market.
  12. I won't stand for Woodbery slander. He ALWAYS bounces stuff off of me before reporting on things like options and roster minutiae. He stands out in that regard over a McCosky.
  13. You've been perusing my spotify history I see.
  14. I don't know if it was well reported, but in the media gathering Harris had to discuss the new dimensions, he had some lines that really impressed me. He reminded the media that park effects are prone to randomness and take a while to stabilize. Somebody asked about a three year window if that was appropriate, to which Harris said usually not that long, depends on the amount of balls in play. He also said they now have access to weather data to help parse data and evaluate the park factors. I have to think that data is being used to evaluate players and parse stat lines too. Music to my ears.
  15. Agreed, and I see you already saw my tweet. If you are trying to build a development culture, Chapman ain't the guy.
  16. Yeah, I doubt the GM is actively involved in 9th round picks.
  17. I have one, and use it often.
  18. None is due to her
  19. If you are still teleworking or even hybrid, check out your auto insurance policy and see if you can lower your premium for reduced commute.
  20. Because they are draft eligible. They are being exploited in June.
  21. 100% Remember that when sharing/retweeting Flipkowski/Rupar etc amplifying these freaks.
  22. SIAP, but the Rockies signed Harold Castro.
  23. One of their signings is from Colombia. They signed a kid from New Zealand last year. Have one from a few years ago from Italy. Have signed many over the years from Mexico, Panama, Austrailia... Bojarski was from South Africa. Lest we forget Roberto Campos is from Cuba.
  24. Len Kasper grew up a Tigers fan. Joe Davis grew up a Tigers fan and Ernie Harwell is his biggest inspiration. Joe Block grew up a Tigers fan.
  25. Morris was awful, glad he's gone. Monroe has improved significantly. I am hoping a Granderson or Maybin is brought on for about 15-20 games. Also don't forget Shep's rant after Game 162, almost as if he was on his way out.
