  1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond....
  2. Tbf, he did leave and is in Florida at the moment.
  3. Definitely... we should incentivize doing the right thing, not ridicule or punish it. Otherwise you just incentivize doing the wrong thing.
  4. You made it incorrect. Again, the warrant on Mar-a-Lago happened not upon NARA initially noticing documents missing, it happened after multiple back and forths and discovering that not all documents to be returned were accounted for. Which is, to my knowledge, where legal liability lies. I'll leave the politics of wins/losses to you, I just don't think "both sides" are remotely the same here based on the facts as they exist. On the contrary, I would argue that we are ****ed because many of us continue to grade Trump on a curve versus other Presidents, past and present. The soft bigotry of low expectations. We expect the bad behavior from Trump, tolerate and, in the process, normalize it. And then draw the kinda false equivalencies that the NYT Pitchbot Twitter account lampoon daily
  5. The final game of the year is almost always a win and in game, which makes the rating being so high sort of notable: it simply exceeded a lot of other previous similar matchups in that slot.
  6. Also, Trump's legal liability isn't even the fact that he left with classified docs in his possession... it's that, after being contacted multiple times by NARA, he continued to withhold at least some of those documents and he and his representatives appear to have lied at various points about it as well. Put another way, it's all the other ways that this Trump's classified documents issues differ from this one that exposes him to criminal liability. If he had done what Biden appears to have done and notified/cooperated with NARA, he likely would not be in trouble. No warrant would have been issued, no criminal investigation would exist because there would be no reason for it.
  7. The game six years ago was also Lions/Packers, ironically enough. In retrospect, it should have been too surprising. The storyline going into the game of the gritty up-and-comer going against the perennial powerhouse with the QB who has terrorized the division and the league for so long has "David and Goliath" vibes.
  8. Weirder things have happened, but the fact that multiple teams (including one owned by Steve Cohen) essentially couldn't reach deals because they wanted to place conditions on the back end of their contract offers suggests that Correa may not remain a consistent 5 win player even though the back end of his deal with Minnesota
  9. Honestly forgot all about that... And of course BB credited Matty P lol
  10. Don't understand Brady being that high...
  11. Whenever I think of both of these guys, I think about this game: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201811190ram.htm
  12. Really their big mistake was letting Bogaerts walk... Story made sense as a 2B option, but the reality is that his declining arm strength made him a questionable option as a SS option
  13. Jarvy had a bad year last year, but his deal looks better than Story's in retrospect all of a sudden
  14. If his ankle is as bad as it sounds, maybe the Tigers "cheapskate" 8/275 from a year ago wasn't such a bad deal after all...
  15. TBH, they should look to Syracuse and let Brett Baty have a chance....
  16. lol, this saga never ends
  17. I'm not sure when it was the same time you discussed it, but I do recall discussing Trayce around the time of the Yankees series where Willi royally ****ed up that play in CF. I wish Willi well, but after the raft of injuries in the outfield, it never made sense to me that he kinda just got carte blanche as an outfield piece on the team. To Harris' credit, I believe that he will be quicker to move to alternative options than the previous administration
  18. We needed to see more of Willi Castro in CF! lol
  19. Curious... how the "drain the swamp" caucus always seems to act in the swampiest way possible at all times
  20. Using Vierling primarily in the infield would be kind of a waste, his defense grades out really well as an outfielder and the Tigers have a few questionable defensive players in that department (Baddoo, Carpenter, Meadows)
  21. The Chargers will be a de facto home game as well lol
  22. In 20 degree weather, just not sure I expected a whole lot different from either team tonight. This seemed destined to be an old school, black and blue NFC North match-up. Just was never gonna be an "air it out" type game. Either way, the numbers don't lie, he was, both in terms of QBR and QB Rating, the best QB in their division and was a Top 10 overall in both categories. It's always smart to look to the future, but you would think the argument about the short to medium term would be put to bed by now.
  23. He's a divisive figure, but even if the stats don't show it (they didn't for the half of famer on the other side either), I thought Goff showed a lot of leadership and played a pretty clean game in a high pressure situation. They earned this one. Packers made too many mistakes, Lions came to play and win
