  1. I watched the Rams game. It was a really good game. Stafford with 3 turnovers was surprising. The Bears being the #1 NFC seed this late in the season is the surprise of the year. That Washington-Denver game last night was really good. Bo Nix is the real deal...
  2. Playing the tired Hawks tonight after they played, on the road, yesterday. Double OT. They better be ready to run, run and run. 😆😆
  3. Lmao...if he (and Chris) bring in several cheap, injured or prove-it type free agents, you're right. If he brings in some quality players, maybe not. But come on man....Charlie Morton? Chris Paddack? That is scrapping the bottom of the barrel. I didn't complain about Finnegan. Or...maybe just a little...lol I really think the Tigers will sign Suarez. Whether any of us like it or not.
  4. The Lions need help to make the playoffs. We're closer to the Packers but the tie they had with Dallas and them having the tie breaker against us is a problem. I want the Lions to make the playoffs, losing to Dallas would make that much more improbable. If we win, I would prefer Chicago to sweep Green Bay so maybe we could pass them. But yeah, the Lions need to go 4-1 to have a realistic shot. And since we're 3-4 in our last 7, I don't know if we can.
  5. Thats pretty much what he was saying. Win this week and win in Chicago. But we cant win our way out of it if Chicago wins every game until we play them. They're 2 games ahead of us, we need other teams to beat them. Chicago winning in Philly makes me wonder if theyll lose.
  6. Makes sense, a 34 year old player looking for his last contract.
  7. The Lions play the Steelers and Bears. The Bears are the leader in takeaways in the NFL, the Steelers are #2.
  8. Yeah, I saw the stats of the Tigers record in Skubal starts the last 2 seasons against games he didnt start. We were barely a .500 team in games he didnt start. We don't make the playoffs the last 2 seasons without him. But again, that's a whole lot of money. Maybe A position player isn't as important as the best pitcher in baseball but how about 2 or 3 position players and a couple of very good arms for the bullpen? Harris (and Chris) are going to do whatever they think is best for the entire franchise. I will be quite surprised if they sign Skubal, not that I don't want them to but because of the money involved.
  9. IDK, free agent prices can be franchise killers. Signing Skubal would be great but a guy who pitches every 5 days, for 100 to 110 pitches? I would rather have a few shut down relief pitchers and a couple hitters who make contact. And to go along with a couple of #2 and #3 type pitchers. Harris doesn't seem the type to put all his eggs in one basket. But....we'll see.
  10. They won't sign him and won't trade him. After he walks, we'll hear stories that the Tigers offered him a fair contract and he refused it.
  11. Just my 2 cents worth but if the Tigers plan in spending 40 million dollars or so, I would rather it be on pitching.
  12. True. There's always an old and maybe expensive Suarez.
  13. There goes Stafford's chance at an MVP award. 2 picks today, one a pick 6 and a lost fumble. He's human after all.
  14. I would rather take a risk with Zack or some rookie over giving a 32 year old 170 million dollars.
  15. The Cowboys are really bad defensively. At least, last I heard, they were near the bottom of some very important stats. Maybe Gibbs will run for 200+ yards...😆 No, Goff will pass for 400 yards;
  16. So his price would start at $30M per year? Again, hard pass.
  17. It says the Tigers MUST sign these players....if they want to compete...lmao
  18. Interesting article from this website I've never heard of. They want the Tigers to sign multiple expensive free agents; https://www.sportskeeda.com/baseball/news-3-free-agents-tigers-must-sign-2026-season-boost-playoff-chances-ft-alex-bregman
  19. The article in freep said; "Bregman, a three-time All-Star who turns 32 in late March, opted out of the final two seasons of his three-year, $120 million contract with the Red Sox, making him a free agent for the second straight offseason." I'm no math genius but thats $40m per season. If that's correct, there's absolutely no way the Tigers sign him. And I wouldn't want them to, it's way too much, IMO.
  20. $48 for the rest of the season Sunday Ticket. I went ahead and bought it, I decide what games to watch. And I refuse to watch the Vikings...lol
  21. Agreed. And sometimes you get teams like the Brewers in 2025, all the young talent peaking at the same time. They had a very, very impressive season but there was no way they could compete with the Dodgers. So why bother having a huge payroll if LA is just going to spend twice as much to acquire all the available talent anyway? Just to satisfy a fickle fan base? No, baseball is a business and any properly run business makes as much money as possible. And payroll is pure overhead, the enemy of businesses.
  22. Free Press article this morning talking about how Scott Boras insists Bregman would bring leadership to the Tigers. He's just dying for the Tigers to offer Bregman a contract so he can use that offer to shop him around. Take a hike Boras.
  23. So it'll feel so much better beating the Bucks with him in the lineup. 😆
  24. Hopefully, the back to back doesn't affect the 4th.
