  1. Cobb, Verlander, Miggy, Donny Kelly
  2. I could be wrong, but I think if you were verified, you risked loosing your blue checkmark if you messed with your display name. Since it was a rare thing to get the checkmark, people didn't want to lose it for a prank. Now that anyone can get it, it's gonna be a free for all. Fun times.
  3. 3% will probably be enough to decide it
  4. The exception proves the rule
  5. LOL literally the most predictable thing in the universe.
  6. Still waiting for the SS dude to testify under oath against Hutchison
  7. I have a vivid memory of going to Kmart as kid and some guy was standing in front of the store spouting all kinds of nonsense about how the Government is controlling our minds with an invisible gas they inject in the air or something like that. I often think about that and can't help but think that that kind of person who everyone realized was mentally unstable is now given a platform on TV or running for Congress. He was just 25 years too early. The internet really has ruined us.
  8. What a horrible sequence for Diallo
  9. As someone who also is surrounded by Trump cultists at work, I've learned to bite my tongue. Nothing good comes from it when there is so much passion on both sides. I don't laugh at their stupid jokes, but I don't engage either.
  10. Not to get off topic, but I was listening to a podcast where they were discussing what could have happened had Pujols stayed in STL. Good chance he'd be the all time HR leader. Anaheim is not a HR park, and he is always just a better player as a Cardinal.
  11. Brandon Inge will always be the Tiger's top 3rd baseman. If only they would have stopped pitching to him like he was Ted Williams...
  12. A great breakdown for anyone who's looking into a EV. https://youtu.be/Iyp_X3mwE1w
  13. That is what snatching defeat from he jaws of victory looks like.
  14. Saw on ESPN something that blew my mind. When Pujols hit his first home run, the oldest player in MLB was Jesse Orosco. He was born in 1957.
  15. When's JayMo projected to return?
  16. I still don't get it...
  17. It likely prevented them from resigning Scherzer and/or Verlander. No way to know for sure though.
  18. Why? Seems to me the most efficient way to improve your team quickly is through SP. There are only five, and upgrading your worst 2 SP improves 40% of you staff. Thats huge. Compare that with trying to improve 40% of your lineup or BP.
  19. It's bad, but there's a lot of competition for bad MLB contracts. Off the top of my head here are some pretty bad contracts: Strasbourg, Pujols, Josh Hamilton, Anthony Rendon, Vernon Wells, Prince Fielder, and I'm probably forgetting a dozen pitchers.
  20. Ugh. The country is not going to go for a California liberal in either Harris or Newsom. Not gonna happen. Their only chance is if they run against Trump, and at that point the risk is too high.
  21. If I had to put money on it, I'd say he's not running. I'd really like to see Buttegig (sp?) make a run. I've been impressed in how he doesn't take the Repubs bait, and has a calm nature about him, similar to Biden. Time for the next generation to take over.
  22. Its been a weird two games. They put up a boatload of points, but still hard not to feel like the offense could have been so much better. And at the same time feel like the offense sometimes looks so completely dead you can't imaging how they'll ever score again.
  23. I hope he gets it, but have a feeling he'll end with 699. I wonder if a scrub will come in to serve up #700 at the end if there's nothing on the line the last game of the season.
  24. Its really tough to be optimistic about this team. Just rotten from the top to the bottom.
