    Anyone remember Jim Eisenreich? Dude could hit, but he struggled with Tourette's Syndrome and had pronounced facial and body tics. Riley has a slight tic.

    Had to watch with MN feed. They felt the tipped pitch hit the ground. Imho from replay it would not have been overturned. Good to win games like this Maybe Montero can be a pleasant surprise

    Twins announcer said Skubal's velo is down tonight. Also, just second start of his career without a K through 3 innings. Longest he'd gone this year without a K was 33 pitches. So far he is at 53

    I agree, but I also think those who want him called up to Detroit now are going to be disappointed. That's not Harris' approach.

    Of course players can do it - Miggy, Harper and Trout were all up at age 19. With JV, it was DD in charge. He isn't cautious. Harris is a different boss. He just said last week he isn't bringing anyone up early, and they will all go through each step of development. If he promotes McGonigle to aaa now, perhaps he could be up mid September.

    I think Harris will only trade Skubal for an incredible package. The Tigers should be in contention again next season, and it also makes sense to keep Skubal and take the draft pick. We'll find out soon enough.

    Whew! Melton, SGL, Finnegan and Vest. Those will be vital arms for the final stretch. Not sure if I trust any lefties in the pen right now

    Pitching chaos isn't going to work this year. Brieske, Hurter, Holton, Foley were all pitching very well.

    Harris has stated in multiple interviews that he will not promote a player out of need, only when he feels the player is developmentally ready. And he has stressed the process of developing through every phase of the farm. I don't see the top of the farm guys up with the team until next mid-season at the earliest.
