  1. I was living in Seattle when the kingdom came down. My ex wife and I lived on Beacon Hill behind downtown and we could see the demolition from our back porch. The kingdome was just as bad as the metrodome. Only been to their new stadium once. I enjoyed it!
  2. Believe in Riley's stash!!
  3. Feel bad for Reese. Wow. "Shoulder strain." Might = TJ and basically out 2 years
  4. Not me! I was equipped with my Major Matt Mason action figure and moon buggy to follow the Apollo action!
  5. Shawn Green had a 6-6, 4 HR, 7 RBI and 19 total bases game, and who remembers Fred Lynn's 3 HR, 5-hit, 10 RBI game vs the Tigers. There have been several crazy games. I remember reading on the back of a baseball card that Cesar Gutierrez went 7-7 for the Tigers in an extra inning game
  6. You would be surprised - her eephus is legendary
  7. And yet they still have a 7 game lead. Crazy!
  8. There are a half dozen stats from that game where no other player in history can check them all off for their career. He checked them all in one game! My vote for best game by rookie ever. Maybe best game for a player ever. As for best rookie seasons there are a few that stand out - like Williams, Pujols, DiMaggio, McGwire, Judge, Alonso, FRobby, Walt Dropo, Fred Lynn (and others).....and can't forget Fidrych and Fernando. Kurtz is on pace for a similar year. Could get to 40 HR (and had 16 this year in the minors). He has the look of a stud.
  9. At this time the Tigers have the 8th best record in mlb and even winning the division would play in the wild card round. Steep fall
  10. AZ is next, then Philly. This is it. Turn it around, or historic collapse
  11. Other than a 13 at-bat stop at AA last season, Kurtz' ops has never been below 1.000. That includes this season. Dude is a stud Nick Kurtz College, Fall & Minor Leagues Statistics | Baseball-Reference.com https://share.google/BODDMh8TLFDNonwYF
  12. Last year it was. 02%. Just 2 weeks ago espn had Detroit's playoff odds at 99%. Tsunami to complete drought
  13. Better D today. There's that
  14. And they're only 6 back in the loss column
  15. Let that spark a fire!
  16. That was an incredible AB by Bichette. 13 pitches
  17. You're undervaluing the career of Christian Stewart.😉
  18. On Kurtz' game https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19GmDazqFW/?mibextid=xfxF2i
  19. Holy cow, Nick Kurtz have an historic day! 6-6, 4 HR and 8 RBI
  20. As a prisoner of the moment, thoughts entering my mind: Given Detroit's regression, I'm thinking Harris does little at the deadline. And if the Tigers bow out early in the post season, I believe Harris will listen to offers on Skubal.
  21. I just watched "the opposite" episode on Seinfeld. Hoping this reverses the trend
  22. Looking at Parker's stats. He had an excellent 2nd half last year, otherwise he has been sub par. He is only 25. Still time. His career ops is .685. Jacoby Jones' career ops was .646. Meadows is an upgrade, but I won't be surprised if he falls into a 4th OF role, platoon only. Still time to get hot. But I'm beginning to be skeptical.
  23. I highly doubt it. Suarez has 35 home runs. I read today that 11 teams have inquired and we know the Yankees are highly interested. I don't see Harris giving up a top 100 plus more, which is what I believe it will take
  24. Is that from a Cher lyric?
  25. At least there has been no nail biting this month.
