A team can go 20 years or more without a player of Skubal's talent. The Tigers are fortunate to have him on the heels of JV and Max. If a package doesn't include a McLean or a Schlittler type mlb ready guy, plus prospects I will be very disappointed. Even with McLean and Schlittler there is still plenty of uncertainty. Tiger Territory today mentioned Valdez, suggesting he'd require ~ 5/140. They said that's not Harris' way, but having him and Skubal at the top of the rotation would be formidable and would show Skubal that they mean business. Harris usually requires some significant injury history before his interest gets peaked. So I don't expect Valdez to be a Tiger.

Hearing Spoelstra's post game interview, it's clear what he thinks about the Pistons. He said the Heat have been playing well, but last night was the first time this year they faced a team on a higher level. He praises Detroit's defense, how they cut off the passing lanes and are "relentless." He said the Heat will grow from the experience, to see what that next level looks like. It's still a bit surreal to hear that, after several years of bottom of the league Pistons ball.

Imho Torres is an asset. Same with Flaherty. After 2026 Detroit has Javy and Colt on the books, and more 1 yr deals with the youngsters. Harris can be creative with the flexibility.

He's a ****, but the woman who accused him is now behind bars. There was a lot of evidence that showed she made it up. I saw the documentary. She planned the whole thing, evidenced in texts to a friend. She videoed herself the morning after the alleged incident, smiling with no bruises. She later admitted bruising herself and that she made it up. I can't stand the guy, but you should check out the available info before calling him out as a perp.
