Tie game.

This game is boring.

I’m glad that the betting line told me just now on TV that the White Sox are 30,000 to 1 to win the AL Central.

That was classic Baez, swinging third strike on something 2 feet out of the strike zone.

Interviewing a player in the field just drives me nuts.

So it’ll take at least two runs to win this game.

The Apple TV announcers are talking about how “cold” it is in Minneapolis when it’s 56° and “feels like 56°.“ After that series with the Yankees in Detroit, our club has got to feel cozy and comfy in this weather.

I made the mistake of getting on one of the many Tigers related Facebook groups today and it makes me even more grateful for this forum given the low level of what passes for “discussion“ often times among the unwashed masses. And the problem is not so much the articles posted but the comment section. For a lot of people the solution to this team is the guillotine for everyone. There’s actually people who hate Verlander because they think he left the Tigers to sign a bigger contract elsewhere and they don’t know that he was traded. And people make these comments with a confident triumphalism that’s bewildering and almost makes me feel unclean. This place is Plato’s Academy compared to Facebook. It’s nice to be able to rub shoulders with all of you, or at least most of you. 😉

Wow.

When I watched a couple Apple broadcasts featuring the Tigers last year, I was actually impressed with their knowledge of the team and some of the minutiae that only people who follow the team closely talk about. They at least do their homework. I felt like we got a fair shake and I don’t often feel that way about national broadcasts.

Well, I didn’t want to spoil it for you. I immediately figured out who probably had the reel, but was led astray so many times that in the end, I was really grateful that I was right all along and not disappointed for having foreseen it beforehand.

At least they made it very, very interesting.

Suddenly, this game has become interesting, very interesting, very, very interesting…

I’m less hopeful now than I was 30 minutes ago.

Nice way to choke off this possible Yankee scoring opportunity.

Loading the basis with Yankees was tense and Jack gets out of it but with nearly 50 pitches in two innings.

They keep interrupting the pregame on mlb radio with these PSAs about how dangerous it is to drive when you’re high on weed and the guy makes being on weed sound really really attractive.

The weather in Minneapolis is going to be almost balmy this weekend compared to Detroit.
