Dave Christian Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 Anyone know why Baez is scratched from the lineup? I missed the start so I'm trying to catch up. Quote
Dave Christian Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 (edited) Carpenter with a lead off homer top of two. Edited August 12, 2023 by Dave Christian Quote
RandyMarsh Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 Another Carp bomb, this one to the opposite field just clearing the Green Monster, 1-0 Tigers! Quote

lordstanley Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 I care more about Manning’s performance the rest of the year than any other Tiger, apart from maybe Torkelson. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 Manning featuring a 96 mph heater today. Where was it last time out? Quote
chasfh Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 Great moment. I’m so glad I could be here to experience it. Quote

I mean I'll be pulling for Manning but I just don't see anything special in him now. Ordinary stuff, sub par command, inconsistent and no plus pitches. At this point I have much more faith in Reese Olson becoming legit than Manning. To me Manning is a back end starter at best that needs BABIP luck to succeed. Quote

Manning is frustrating because when the fastball is there, his stuff does play, but I don't get why a young healthy guy has 3-4 mph just disappear from his FB from start to start. Quote
Tigermojo Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 Haase homer for his wife in attendance. Quote
Dtrain72 Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 It's nice to see Haase not suck for a sec Quote

Doesn't matter who the manager or GM, it seems like there is one player every year that the Tiger brain trust falls in love with for totally unexplained reasons. This year it's Maton. Quote

Klondike Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 good to see the Tiger's use Fenway Park to an advantage. Hit high flies to left... not deep flies to cavernous right field. Quote

Low is good but keep it out of the middle. Quote
